Welcome to Making Meditation Mainstream 10-Minute Meditations.
My name is Katie and today's theme is abundance.
To me the notion of abundance is a lot less about the material things and it's more centered around an appreciation of life in its fullness.
To me abundance is about living a life full of gratitude.
It's about having a love and appreciation for the things that you do have rather than the things that you don't.
It's about letting go of ego,
Stopping comparing to others and it's knowing that you're enough just as you are.
It's about leaving feelings of lack and dissatisfaction and emptiness behind and instead being open to love and light.
If you say things like,
I have enough,
I have plenty,
I know there is enough to go around,
These are the things that your experience will become.
I really think meditation is the path to feeling such love and abundance.
It's able to help you create that shift from a place of lack to one of abundance.
So as we move into today's meditation,
Have a think about the things that you're grateful for which can make you live a more abundant life.
Now get yourself settled in as we will now begin the meditation sequence.
Take a moment now to settle in and relax.
Close your eyes and together let's take three breaths and on each exhale allow yourself to relax a little more and more.
Bring yourself into the present moment.
Allow the past to be the past and the future to be the future.
You are safe in this moment right now.
Place your attention on the top of your head and allow a deep sense of relaxation to cascade slowly down your face.
Feel your eyes become heavy.
Face your jaw.
Soften your mouth.
Allow your tongue to sit comfortably on the roof of your mouth.
Allow your shoulders to fall away from your neck.
Completely relaxing your arms.
Letting go of your belly,
Feeling your legs and your feet completely relaxed.
Now place your focus and awareness on your breath.
Watching the inhale and the exhale of the breath.
Just witnessing the rise and fall of your chest.
Should you have any thoughts or distractions,
Just simply acknowledging them.
Allowing them to drift slowly away and calmly before returning your attention back to the rise and fall of your chest.
Allowing the breath to drift slowly away and calmly before returning your attention back to the rise and fall of your chest.
Take a moment now to contemplate today's theme.
