Hi yogis,
This is Sonya and I warmly invite you into your blissful meditation haven to enjoy this yoga nidra sleep meditation to grow your inner wisdom.
We will explore together the sacred aspects of the mystical tree of life with its timeless unfurling knowledge along this yogic healing journey.
So as we begin now,
Breathe deeply as you settle in.
Simply close your eyelids and prepare to rest back into the ultimate healing consciousness enjoyed by ancient yogis and now passed here to you.
Allow yourself to begin taking solace in this special time of deeper relaxation.
As the Upanishad ancient yogic texts encourage us all to find the still point within ourselves,
To breathe and rest into the place of inner peace.
Now just lengthen and align your body precisely as much as you wish.
Let your arms and your legs branch out in a way so you are totally comfortable here,
Perhaps like a wise tree owning its space.
Just as you could imagine a strong yet flexible tree unfurling itself in a purifying healing forest.
Be sure to elongate the physical form so your natural channels throughout your resting body are more open.
Relax the little muscles around your eyes,
Ease your brow and feel yourself unlock your jaw,
Creating more space in your vessel.
And now you may picture here with your mind's eye what yoga masters describe as an eternal tree known as Ashwata in ancient Sanskrit.
Since as we embark upon this journey to Ashwata,
The sacred tree of life,
We are cultivating for ourselves the open and healing space within us to expand.
And for the divine aspects of ourselves to truly thrive.
So now as you simply continue to breathe deeply,
Acknowledge any tensions or worries you may be holding.
Perhaps also noticing and noting any other difficulties you may have weathered either internally or externally as you have been moving through life into this present.
Understanding consciously these tensions may have arisen as recently as today or some of these tensions may still be lingering from some past seasons.
So visualise any such energies as they begin to unravel from your being and hover above you in a cloud of mist.
And so now release those energies shedding all that does not serve you.
Sending the cloud of mist away as it dissipates all together into this space.
Sending the cloud of mist away as it dissipates all together into this spacious darkness.
As this fog lifts and evaporates you may feel on a deep visceral level your evergreen spirit beginning to shine.
So take these moments to fully replenish here.
Breathe in deeply and breathe out fully.
Feel this fresh air filling your lungs down and into every branch of your alveoli and the warmed air flowing out.
Again drop your belly down as you breathe in and breathe out with refreshing nourishing ease.
Continue to breathe the life-giving oxygen of our planet's trees,
This elixir of life flowing in and out of your being.
Knowing that Mother Gaia always nurtures you in this way and taking everything you need from this nourishing air around you.
That's right.
Within your deepening relaxation continue to see the majestic tree of life rich with symbolism.
Become aware of your mystical vision of the world.
Rich with symbolism.
Become aware of your mystical vision in what's known to yogis as Chittakasha,
The screen of the consciousness.
You may envision here a strong and powerful tree as old as time,
Fruitful and benevolent.
However this vision appears for you in Chittakasha is absolutely perfect.
As you rest here and replenish your auric field,
Feel yourself beginning to embody your inner sage.
Akin to this ancient tree seeded from all life.
Because during this yoga nidra process we are going within containing and growing your powerful energy field.
So in this ancient yogic tradition now shift your awareness to various parts of the resting body.
You may like to repeat the part's name like an echo chamber in the mind.
As you progressively relax deeper and deeper.
That's brilliant.
Crown of the head,
Back of the head,
Back of the neck,
All muscles of the neck releasing and letting go.
For it,
Right eyebrow,
Left eyebrow and the eyebrow centre point of light.
Right eye,
Left eye and the little muscles around the eyes.
Right temple,
Ear,
Cheek.
Left temple,
Ear,
Cheek.
Nose,
Nostrils,
Upper lip,
Lower lip,
Upper gums and teeth,
Lower gums and teeth.
Lower gums and teeth,
Sensations within the mouth,
Tongue from root to tip.
Lower jaw,
The hollow space of the jaw.
Lower chin,
Throat,
Collarbones,
Whole chest,
Whole rib cage,
Whole abdomen releasing,
Whole back,
Shoulder blades.
Now feel both shoulders from the inside.
Trapezius muscles melting down.
Both upper arms,
Both elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists,
Palms of the hands,
Backs of the hands,
Thumbs,
Second fingers,
Third fingers,
Fourth fingers,
Pinky fingers.
Feel the spaces between the fingers and the tips of the fingers tingling with vitality.
Become aware that the pranic pathways are opening to divine healing connection.
Now feel the waist,
Lower back,
Both hips,
Glutes,
The muscles and bones of the thighs,
Knees and the space just underneath the knees.
Lower legs,
Ankles,
Heels,
Soles of the feet,
Tops of the feet,
Big toes,
Second toes,
Third toes,
Fourth toes,
Pinky toes.
Toes pulsing out into your auric field,
Free to rest.
Fourth toes,
Pinky toes,
Toes pulsing out into your auric field,
Free to relax in all of this space.
And now feel the whole body at once,
Left and right sides simultaneously.
Each individual sensation melting into a mass of sensation.
Now let awareness sink even deeper.
Feel the skin and go beneath the skin.
Awareness internally,
Feeling the insulating tissues and muscles melting into rest.
All of the organs committed to relax and move deeper still into bones.
Bone marrow.
And I invite you to go further still onto a cellular level,
Becoming aware of the cells humming with life.
Because there is great power in this deep presence,
As the tree of life wisdom can attest.
As your inner self can feel the presence of life.
As your inner self can feel the presence of life.
As your inner sage visualises the asvattha tree of life on the screen of the consciousness,
You may sense it is imparting wisdom to you.
And I wonder if you can see so clearly here,
The tree of life growing to be the size of the earth.
In synergistic oneness with the planet.
And now it slowly turns around until it appears to be growing upside down.
You sense the eternal tree is showing you the sacred truth of where its power lies.
And now it slowly turns around until it appears to be growing upside down.
The sacred truth of where its power lies.
In your mind's eye,
Asvattha now reveals to you it has its roots above and its branches below.
You are now witnessing what is referred to in the great yogic texts.
So within this deepening meditation,
You understand this inverted tree is inviting you to climb it.
From its branches up to its roots.
Welcoming you to experience its insights first hand.
And as you reach out and begin to climb its sturdy branches,
You feel yourself moving upwards and towards a higher spiritual plane.
You feel in oneness with this asvattha tree,
Which is mirrored in your physical form with the trunk being your spine.
Your kundalini,
Your life energy flows from the mudalahara chakra,
Your base chakra,
Which corresponds to the branches of this inverted tree.
And now you begin climbing at the branches of your base chakra and you are seeking to connect with your inner sage at your crown chakra.
The kundalini,
Your life energy flows from the mudalahara chakra,
The kundalini,
The power of consciousness begins to move up the subtle circuits corresponding to the spine towards the top of the head.
You feel your energy centers hum with vitality as you are aligned and in oneness with this most mystical tree of all creation.
And your energy spirals as it moves upwards through your sacral chakra,
As you climb the strong branches in a divine flow of your kundalini.
And upwards now you travel through your solar plexus chakra glowing with activation.
And now climbing the sacred branches symbolizing your heart space,
Anahata.
You feel an awakening as you stop reaching for the fruit outside yourself and turn your attention within.
Continuing to climb the divine leafy folds of the tree now representing your throat chakra as you ascend.
Moving upwards with ease to your third eye chakra your vision becomes clearer.
And now you reach the root of the inverted asvata tree where the seed of all life began.
And you become aware that the mystical root of all knowledge is at the top of your head in the sahasrara chakra,
The crown,
The center where divine consciousness resides.
And you immediately comprehend that rather than striving for that which is outside of ourselves,
Spreading our branches in every direction,
Enlightenment lies at the luminous root of the asvata tree.
The infinite knowledge and wisdom of eternity,
Enlightenment is encoded within you.
For you are an eternal spiritual being,
A spark of the divine.
And the energy to create worlds lies within you.
The ancient yogis,
Sages,
Channels,
Angels and ascended masters and the tree of life all impart the same message.
The divinity of the tree of life exists within its roots from its original seed.
You take some deep oxygenating breaths as you feel deeply connected to the world around you.
Growing and strengthening,
Flowing positive energy throughout your being.
You feel your auric field grow powerfully within as you embody this wisdom,
This insight.
As above,
So below.
As within,
So without.
As above,
So below.
As within,
So without.
And in this healing state of relaxation,
Bring your mind to your inner personal goal that you currently wish to achieve in your life.
Be aware of what this looks like to you in your third eye vision.
In the yogic tradition this is called a sankalpa,
An intention or resolve.
Deep in the mind there is an image of what this looks like.
Know that it is absolutely possible for you to have this.
And at this level there's not a past,
Present or future,
There just is.
Think of bringing your sankalpa into your life right now that you have this already.
Feel into the heart space behind the sternum and how much you are resonating with this.
You may create a short,
Positively worded statement in the present tense.
Mentally repeat this sankalpa,
This resolve,
Three times.
And now cast it out to the all-pervading energies of the universe to be made manifest.
Brilliant.
And now you simply relax here,
Receiving divine messages and visions on the screen of your consciousness.
Relaxing deeper and deeper here.
Your third eye vision reveals to you that your inner sage,
Your inner wisdom is within you from birth.
Symbolised like this tree sprouted from its wisest seed.
Because here in the tree of life you feel so welcome,
So protected under its branches.
For it cradles you in its kind-hearted mysticism.
Pulsing with life and vitality,
Fruitful and abundant.
And you know that this is a safe and nurturing place.
Alive with possibility,
Healing,
Knowledge and insight.
As you rest here,
You are forever cradled in the crucible of mother Gaia and the cosmic intelligence of all life.
Rest here,
You are forever cradled in the crucible of mother Gaia and the cosmic intelligence of all life.
Because as seasons move and change,
Autumn and winter turn to springtime,
Always budding into midsummer.
Reasons,
Seasons,
Lifetimes.
As you relax deeper,
You rejuvenate here in the natural earth's rhythms.
Mirroring the life cycle of trees with darkness and light,
Rebirth and positive new beginnings.
You find yourself taking solace here,
That our shared roots link us to past and future generations.
Grounding us in the intricate layers of life and death.
Feeling so grateful for this yogic symbol of connection to your ancestors.
Grounding us in the intricate layout of interconnected branches.
Feeling so grateful for this yogic symbol of connection to your ancestors.
This tree of wisdom blesses you with knowledge and understanding.
And with deep gratitude,
You breathe even deeper,
Shedding a layer with every rejuvenating breath.
And as your yogic healing continues,
Now sleep dear soul,
Simply sleep.
Rest back into your deepest divine sleep.
With the sacred tree of life imparting more insights in your blissful dreams.
And as the last part of your awareness,
Let's go into this spacious darkness.
You allow this timelessness to be your you allow this timelessness to take over.
As you enjoy your cosmic sacred rest.
Namaste.
