Transcript
Welcome to the focus and clarity meditation.
As you set yourself up in your seated meditation position either cross-legged on the floor supported by a cushion or in a chair with your knees hip-width apart,
Your feet planted firmly on the ground,
Your spine is tall and long with your palms facing up towards the ceiling,
Resting gently in front of your knees or in your lap with your chin down just a little towards your chest.
As you gently close your eyes now,
Becoming aware of all scattered aspects of yourself from your morning or even your week,
Just noticing thoughts,
Sensations that come up for you here and now.
Did you allow the space?
To sit in between these scattered aspects of you.
Did you allow the time to center and focus within leaving your outside world at the door knowing you can return to it at the end of this session?
As sounds come and go it's others that may distract you.
Simply allow them to float off into the distance should you find yourself distracted.
As you gently guide yourself back to the meditation and just as thoughts may also come and distract you,
Allowing them to be the one,
Two or many thoughts.
Did you find yourself in a conversation with your monkey mind with pure awareness free of judgment,
With simple kindness,
Just bringing yourself back back to the breath and doing so as many times as you need.
As you take a relaxing deep breath in,
Just sighing on the out.
Just three times now,
Sighing on the out breath.
As you soften into your body with every breath deeper and further,
As you find a natural rhythm,
A natural pace,
An ebb and flow that feels right for you.
Allowing your breath to be your anchor at any moment you find yourself distracted by sensations in your body or thoughts.
And on your next in breath,
Scanning the body,
Just noticing sensations as they come and go,
Circling the head,
Your brow,
All the way down to your jawline.
Just softening any areas of heaviness,
Of tension in your brow or in your jaw.
As you gently breathe in,
Gently breathe out,
Skinning down to your shoulders,
Just allowing them to drop a little further away from your ears.
Just noticing how they feel,
Heavy and tight,
Soft and languid.
Just seeing if you can soften them just a little,
Just letting go of any heaviness they may be carrying,
With this breath and this breath.
Scanning now down both legs,
All the way down to the bottom of your feet.
Softening and relaxing any heaviness,
Tightness,
Gently and slowly.
With this breath and this breath.
Feel yourself walking along a path,
Leading to a majestic mountain.
Feeling the path beneath your feet,
Noticing what it is covered in.
Is it soft green grass?
Or maybe it's sandy and solid stone.
Noticing how it feels under your feet as you connect with the earth's energy beneath you.
Can you feel the grounding energy flowing from the base of the earth through your feet?
Or can you hear the sounds of nature as they dance all around you?
Does your picture unfold as your birds fly with ease?
Maybe you can feel the wind whistling against your skin.
Or even feel the sun's warmth against your back.
You may visualize your space in your mind,
Intuitively know it is there.
Allowing it to grow stronger and more vivid with every breath you take.
And as you continue to walk towards your majestic mountain.
You may notice it getting closer and closer.
Until only a few meters away,
Your path begins to ascend up the mountain.
And maybe intuitively,
You find yourself drawn up the mountain.
Following nature's path along the way,
Step by step,
Breath by breath.
It's allowing each breath to be gentle and soft.
Allowing it to fall into a natural ebb and flow.
In and out.
In and out.
And as you come to the top of your mountain,
Walking along its plateau.
You may come across a spot for you to sit in.
The soft cushioning of green grass.
Or the trunk of a tall strong tree.
Or maybe you find a smooth rock to settle into.
As you allow yourself to become more and more comfortable.
As you take in your surrounding.
With this breath.
And this breath.
As you rest atop your strong grounded mountain.
You bring your gaze up towards the horizon,
Towards the sky.
As you allow all of the wonderful colors of the sky to unfold.
The clouds,
Or maybe even mountain ranges,
Are as far as the eye can see.
Breathing into the expansiveness of this majestic air.
Allowing the colors of nature.
The greens.
The blues.
Warm oranges.
And soft pinks to vibrate all around you.
Allowing any smells to flow through your entire body as they wrap themselves around you.
Maybe you can hear sounds both near and far.
With pure clarity.
Vibrating all around you.
Massaging your entire body.
With every breath.
In and out.
In and out.
In your next in breath,
Begin to breathe just a little deeper,
A little longer,
A little further into your belly.
Filling it with the openness,
The clarity,
The ease that flows harmoniously atop your majestic mountain.
Feeling the strength that surrounds you.
How the mountain stands strong,
Focused and clear each and every day,
No matter the season,
No matter the time of day.
Standing tall.
Proud.
With pure clarity.
Allow this air the mountain breathes to flow through your entire body.
Breathing in the same air.
The air you share with your majestic mountain.
In and out.
You breathe in clarity.
Breathing in focus.
Breathing in strength.
Unless you want more pressure from now on when you get the ad픔𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰 lick slowly,
Bringing your awareness back to your breath,
Bringing any clarity,
Any insights that came to you while sitting atop your majestic mountain,
Bringing it to your very heart center,
Knowing you can return here anytime you need to connect with the inner clarity and focus that is always within you,
As you gently bring yourself up,
Standing atop your mountain and walking back down along the guided path,
Step by step,
Until you reach the bottom,
As you become aware of your feet planted in this room,
The cushion or seat that supports you,
Bring sounds with the inside and outside of this room back into focus,
As you gently begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Opening your eyes as you are welcomed back into this room,
