Welcome to the nurturing creativity meditation.

As you set yourself up cross-legged on a cushion on the floor or sitting comfortably on a chair,

Allow yourself to set up in a comfortable and alert position with your hands facing up towards the ceiling resting gently in front of your knees,

Your spines tall and alert and as you gently close your eyes now noticing all of the scattered aspects in your mind that you've been carrying throughout your day or your week knowing that it is your time to let go of these thoughts to center and ground and nurture from deep within and as you take three peaceful breaths breathe all the way down into your belly expanding your diaphragm and gently releasing any tension on the outbreath and as you continue to breathe do so at a pace that feels right for you that feels comfortable for you remembering it's not about breathing as deeply or for as long as is possible but finding a natural ebb and flow an even pace breathing all the way down into your belly gently and peacefully and all the way out allowing each outbreath throughout the meditation to gently release any tension your body may be carrying bring your awareness to each point of contact of your body with the ground beneath you the cushion the chair allowing each breath to relax you and your body even further and a little deeper know that throughout this session sounds may come and go from inside and outside of this room and as they do simply allow them to float on by the greatest of ease gently and mindfully bringing your attention back to the guided meditation you may find the constant chatter from your mind trying to distract you know that this is completely normal so as these thoughts come and go you may wish to place them in a box to your side writing them down on a piece of paper and then locking that box for you to return to at the end of this session or you might wish to place each thought into a cloud high up in the sky allowing them to gently float on by with every thought you release and as you gently begin to follow your in breath noticing the temperature as you breathe in through your nostrils as the air travels down feeling both lungs the belly popping forward just slightly how does it feel in your body as your chest expands filling with life and on every out breath allowing yourself as you continue to breathe at a natural and even pace that feels right for you bring your awareness to the temperature of the air as you breathe in through both nostrils all the way down feeling both lungs and expanding your belly noticing all sensations in your body as you feel it with life flowing as gently as the breeze softly rustling the leaves on a tall tree on your next in breath picture yourself flying high above the treetops soaring freely gliding at the greatest of ease as the wind guides you and supports you see yourself flying like a bird maybe a strong eagle or a wise owl a colorful mackerel maybe you picture a beautiful small hummingbird it's connecting with any bird that comes into focus for you now you find yourself flying amongst a flock of birds as your friends join you high in the sky it's bringing your awareness to the sensation of the wind against your feathers your wings spread wide and long gliding you through the air can you feel the temperature of the air is it warm or cool can you smell the rainforest beneath you it's nurturing woody scents as trees stand tall you may begin to playfully fly in and out of the tree with a warm smile from ear to ear noticing how it feel as you do so in your body as you gently begin to let go of what is opening up to what could be flying in and out of unknown spaces taking in all of the beauty all of the creative spirit that dances that sing in that place all around you you begin to slow down your wings flying down gently to the edge of a crystal clear river stream as you come to rest notice how it feels in your body having flown through the air it's free as a bird watching now the flow of the river stream as it trickles on down is it traveling fast or slow noticing how freely it navigates the rocks on the bed of the river with the greatest of ease without stopping without skipping a beat dancing its way through whatever challenge comes its way just as you did not a moment earlier flying high high in the sky allowing the space to connect in nature now to breathe in the nurturing creativity that naturally grows all around you thriving no matter the obstacle knowing that you too can release and let go of any blockages you may physically feel in your body or any limiting bully it's releasing them the one two or many blockages limiting belief into the river now cultivating the space for creative thought to grow breath by breath as you rest here a few minutes more gently letting go giving permission for the natural creative spirit to wash over you with this breath and this breath gently and softly bringing any insights to your very center having a being bathed in having allowed the space for your creative spirit to grow bolder and bigger as you take a deep breath in shifting your awareness the sensation of your feet against the floor in this room feeling the clothing against your skin noticing sounds both near and far as you gently begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes and when you are ready opening your eyes as you are welcomed back in to this room

Really nice and gentle. I've had a migraine for the last couple of days and this meditation seems to have cleared the remaining fuzziness - I did end up just perched in the treetops watching rather than soaring - but this was OK too! Thank you ☺️ πŸ’Ÿ πŸ™

I love this. I feel liberated. I was not necessarily seeking creativity, but rather relief from stress. What I received was joy, ease, and creativity. Thank you.
