What if you're not bad?
What if there is nothing wrong with you?
What if it's okay to want what you want?
What if you could trust your desires?
Maybe.
Maybe your desires are messengers telling you of your deepest needs.
Maybe pleasure is simply the fulfillment of a need.
The deeper the need,
The deeper the pleasure.
Maybe this is exactly why we can trust our desires and our pleasures.
Because as we listen to ourselves,
Our most powerful desires will drive us to fill our deepest needs.
Do you sometimes fear where this truth of who you are might lead you?
Do you fear that it will just send you in a path of binging,
Distracting,
Consuming,
Taking,
Numbing?
Well,
Where have your greatest joys been?
What does your heart most deeply yearn for?
Could it be that your deepest yearnings have more to do with service,
Expression,
Purpose,
Connection,
Adventure,
And love?
Could it be that you can and deserve to step into the power of your wholeness?
Could it be that you can trust your heart,
Even if it sometimes conflicts with your mind?
Our heart is not just a pump.
Our heart has its own nervous system of approximately 40,
000 neurons,
Just like the neurons in the brain.
The heart actually sends more information to the brain than the brain does the heart.
Your heart deserves your attention,
Just as you deserve all that your heart desires.
Let's settle now into our bodies.
Let's connect with our heart.
Take a breath,
You beautiful being.
Breathe fully and deeply,
Settling here,
Now.
Feel all that there is in your body.
Be here.
Take full,
Deep breaths into your nose,
Out through your mouth.
If you're not yet,
If you feel comfortable doing so,
Allow your eyes to close.
Allow this music to wash over you as you bring your attention to your heart.
Notice the beating of your heart.
Notice the way that your heart feels.
Does it feel closed,
Open,
Light,
Breezy,
Heavy,
Broken,
Whole,
Hopeful?
Let this be here.
Allow your attention to rest here in your heart space as you observe your deepest well of wisdom within you.
Other thoughts may come up.
That's what our minds do.
Allow those thoughts to drift by like clouds in the sky,
As if you were holding the oldest and wisest redwood in the world,
And a cloud simply came by.
You notice the cloud and allow it.
It too is beautiful,
But your attention right now is on this large,
Beautiful,
Infinitely wise being right now.
Your attention is on your heart,
Noticing it's pulsing,
It's pumping.
Any signals that may be coming from it,
To it,
As you observe and soak in this wisdom,
As you wash your heart with your attention,
Deepening its enoughness.
