Imagine meeting your child self in a loving healing encounter. In this visualization you will welcome both aspects of yourself and the richness they bring. My hope is that this meditation will encourage you to bring love to your inner journey of self-awareness and growth.

Today's meditation is called Bring Love.

Imagine an encounter with your child self.

That's what we'll do today.

Each of us has within us our inner child in the form of memories,

Favorite sensations,

Feelings,

Perhaps foods,

And of course we also may have trauma or painful memories from childhood.

I hope with this meditation today to bring just a little healing to those areas and a greater ability to bring love to that part of yourself and that part you meet in others.

Alright let's begin.

Find a comfortable position for meditation.

My preference is seated with an upright spine.

My head pulled ever slightly toward the ceiling and my eyes gently closed.

And now begin counting down from 5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

Allow your breathing to relax your shoulders,

Your neck,

And any area of tension in your body to let go,

To be at ease in this moment.

As you notice the gentle sensation of breath,

Bring your attention to your heart area.

Perhaps you'll notice a slight feeling of warmth.

Imagine a globe of golden light surrounding your heart and sensations of love and kindness emanating from this golden globe of light.

And now see yourself seated in a beautiful sunlit room,

A comfortable sofa.

It's morning and you look out the window,

Seeing birds float by and leaves gently blowing in the breeze.

You feel completely at peace,

Perhaps a slight smile on your face.

You hear a gentle sound and turn to see the door to the room open.

And in walks a small child.

This child is your child self with a warm smile of recognition and delight at seeing you.

Your child self crosses the room and joins you on this love seat.

Sitting next to each other,

You notice the golden globe of loving light surround you both.

Each other's eyes with incredible loving kindness.

And your child self lets you know wordlessly they have a message for you.

You receive that message with care and kindness and offer a thank you nod to your child self for sharing that message with you.

The golden globe of loving light around your heart beams brightly toward your child self in appreciation.

And then you silently let your child self know that together it's time to affirm some things and to release some others that have caused unease for your child self.

Finally together,

You agree to recite inwardly statements of affirmation and release together.

You hold hands with your child self and gaze together out the window on this sunny day.

Pay attention and remember any of these statements with particular special resonance.

You and your child self together speak the following.

I now release worrying about things I cannot change.

I now affirm that I bring love and forgiveness to myself and others.

I now release all feelings of resentment toward others.

I now affirm my gratitude for all that others have given me.

I now release comparing myself with others.

I now affirm that I am happy to work for the good of others.

I now release feeling that people always let me down.

I now affirm that I am transforming my life into something higher.

I now release avoiding my life by escaping into my mind.

I now affirm that I find serenity in being compassionate toward others.

I now release my fear of being abandoned and alone.

I now affirm that I am secure and able to make the best of whatever comes my way.

I now release always feeling that I need more.

I now affirm that I stay with projects until I complete them.

I now release attempting to control things in my life.

I now affirm that I master myself and my passions.

I now release losing myself in comforting habits and routines.

I now affirm that I am a powerful healing force in my world.

I now affirm that I bring love to myself in moments of distress.

I now affirm that I bring love to others in moments of conflict.

I bring love.

You and your child self smile at each other with a feeling of lightness and love.

You kiss your child self on the forehead and share a warm hug.

Your child self stands and turns to leave the room with a friendly wave and you move to gaze out the window.

Feeling the residual warmth in the area of your heart,

We begin to bring this meditation toward its close.

As you realize that everyone has their inner child within and in need of healing.

The healing that comes from the intention to bring love.

Consider setting the intention to bring love to all your inner experiences and outer encounters today.

Remember,

Bring love.
