This meditation is on finding and tuning into guidance.
So find a posture that's comfortable for you and will allow you to relax and to be receptive.
All right,
Let's begin.
Start with three full and deep breaths.
And on the inhalation,
Notice the filling of your lungs to the side,
To the back,
To the front.
And on the exhalation,
Notice the belly as it releases and flattens.
Breathing in and out.
Notice the ease with which your body receives and releases.
Your mind is both a receiver and a sender.
For this meditation,
Perhaps you'll consider focusing on your mind as a receiver.
Allow your mind to quiet and receive.
Guidance and wisdom can come to you in moments of quiet.
Allow thoughts to fall and dissipate like snow.
Knowing that in the quiet,
You can hear that still small voice.
Perhaps if you have a question that you've struggled with,
Let the question go.
Be here now.
Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is to wait.
Knowing that wisdom comes when the time is right.
Your task is to cultivate quiet receptivity,
Allowing the busyness and the buzzing to slow and fade.
Practicing patience.
The ability to wait and be at peace.
Consider repeating this Sufi prayer silently to yourself.
Open our hearts that we may hear thy voice,
Which constantly cometh from within.
Disclose to us thy divine light,
Which is hidden in our souls.
That we may know and understand life better.
Guidance and wisdom come as insight.
Sometimes from a message in a dream.
Sometimes from a life event or a friend.
Know that guidance always comes when we ask and wait.
