Welcome to this grounding meditation in which I will be guiding you to connect to your first chakra and using your voice I will help you ground and inhabit your body.
You don't need to be a singer to follow this meditation.
I invite you to have a playful and curious attitude as you allow yourself to use your voice.
We will begin now by settling into a comfortable position,
Gently closing your eyes and bringing your attention to yourself.
You can either sit with your back straight and your chin slightly dropped towards your chest as if you have small weights on your chin and you feel how the back of your neck lengthens.
Or you can also lie down on your back,
Bending your knees and feeling the soles of your feet making contact with the ground beneath you.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through the nose and becoming aware of what area or areas of your body get filled with fresh air.
I invite you to allow the air to fill the bottom parts of your lungs first.
As you inhale,
Feel how the air drops into the lower part of the body,
Expanding the stomach and gently pushing the pelvic floor downwards.
To feel this movement even deeper in your body,
You can slightly clench your buttocks on the exhale and once you're fully emptied of air,
Release the buttocks and bring the air to the lower part of your body.
Once more,
Inhale deep into your body and on the exhale,
Clench your buttocks slightly as you accompany the breath out.
Release the muscles as you take a breath in to allow the breath to fill the lower part of the lungs first.
Take some time for yourself to repeat this deep grounding breath,
Every time making it deeper and deeper.
On the inhale,
Allow the air to fill up the lower part of the body,
Feeling the expansion in your belly and your pelvic floor and on the exhale,
Slightly contracting the buttocks muscles to accompany the breath out.
On the inhale,
You release these muscles and allow the air to drop deeper and deeper into your lungs.
As you continue to breathe in this way,
You're becoming more grounded in the present moment.
You're becoming more aware of the tiny movements occurring in your body,
Especially in the lower belly and your pelvic floor.
Welcome yourself in your body.
Give yourself a big hello and thank your body for supporting you during this practice.
Take some time for yourself to repeat this deep grounding breath,
Every time making it deeper and deeper.
Keep your awareness on your sitting bones and your pelvic floor.
On the next exhale,
We will start toning with the seed mantra,
LAM.
That is L A M.
This seed mantra activates the energy in your root chakra,
Helping you become more grounded and present in this moment.
So bring your awareness to your pelvic floor and on your next exhale,
Choose a pitch which is comfortable to you.
Follow your intuition to find the sound that is most comfortable for you at this moment.
You can follow my voice or choose whatever pitch is comfortable to you for your own voice.
Maybe you can even be playful about it and create a harmony with my own voice.
Continue breathing into a lower area of your body and toning with the mantra,
LAM.
L A M.
L A M.
L A M.
Don't force your voice,
But just accompany that breath and your voice out into the space around you.
Continue toning at your own pace.
L A M.
L A M.
L A M.
Can you feel the vibrations of your voice reaching low into your body?
How does it feel to feel your voice vibrating all around your body?
The deeper you breathe and bring your awareness and your sound into your pelvic floor,
The more you're grounding yourself.
Imagine a chord of sound vibrating from your pelvic floor deep into the earth,
Connecting you with the core of the earth as you keep toning with the mantra,
LAM.
L A M.
L A M.
L A M.
L A M.
Repeat the mantra one last time,
And then quietly contemplate how you feel.
How did you arrive to this practice today and how do you feel now?
I hope you're feeling more rooted in your body and in the present moment,
And I wish you a great rest of your day.
