Welcome to this meditation in which I will be guiding you to connect to your throat chakra.

And by using your voice,

You'll open and energize this powerful center,

Helping you communicate your desires and emotions.

You don't need to be a singer to follow this meditation.

I invite you to have a playful and curious attitude as you allow yourself to use your voice.

We will begin now by settling into a comfortable position,

Gently closing your eyes and bringing your attention to yourself.

You can either sit with your back straight,

Your chin slightly dropped towards your chest,

As if you have small weights on your chin and you feel how the back of your neck lengthens.

Or you can also lie down on your back,

Bending your knees and feeling both soles of your feet,

Making contact with the ground beneath you.

Let's start by taking a deep breath in through the nose and becoming aware of what area or areas of your body get filled with fresh air.

I invite you to allow the air to fill the bottom part of your lungs first.

As you inhale,

Feel how the air drops into the lower part of your body,

Expanding your stomach and gently pushing the pelvic floor.

To feel this movement even deeper in your body,

You can slightly contract your glute muscles on the exhale.

And once you're fully emptied of air,

Release them as you bring the air to the lower part of your body.

Once more,

Inhale deep into your body and on the exhale,

Contract your glute muscles slightly as you accompany the breath.

Release the muscles as you take a breath in to allow the breath to fill up the lower part of the lungs first.

Take some time for yourself to repeat this deep grounding breath.

Welcome yourself in your body.

Give yourself a big hello and thank your body for supporting you during this practice.

Now that you're settled and grounded,

Bring your attention to your throat.

Feel how the air you inhale travels through your trachea,

Down into your lungs,

Caressing your vocal folds.

These two tiny muscles are the responsible of creating the beautiful voice you possess.

Visualize a glow of pure white light starting to light up inside your throat.

This pure light cleanses and removes any blockages in your throat.

As you continue to breathe in and out,

This warm glow of pure white light expands in your throat and around your neck and further into the space around you.

Your throat is fully lit with this warm,

Pure white light.

On the next exhalation,

We will start toning with the seed mantra HAM.

That is H A M.

This seed mantra activates the energy in your throat chakra,

Helping you communicate your desires and emotions in a strong and loving way.

Follow your intuition to find the pitch that is most comfortable for you at this moment.

You can follow my voice or choose whatever pitch is comfortable for you and your own voice.

Maybe be playful about it.

Create a harmony with my voice.

Feel how the vibration of your voice resonates in your throat.

And visualize the sound waves floating into the space around you.

Dare to claim your space.

Dare to make noise.

What are you noticing?

Body sensation?

Emotion?

An image?

Anything that you notice is okay.

Repeat the mantra one last time to arrive to this practice today.

And how do you feel now?

I hope you feel more grounded in your own voice and in your body.
