Hello,
My name is Mary Walker-Golden,
And I'm here to discuss the topic of being versus doing.
This subject probably stemmed from one of Dr.
Wayne Dyer's famous quotes,
Which begins,
I am a human being,
Not a human doing.
What's the difference?
Let's explore.
Doing suggests an action or performance and is based on productivity analysis,
As well as the intelligence of the mind.
While being is an essence that includes our intuitive wisdom,
The ability to be mindful and present,
And it's where our values,
Beliefs,
And purpose lie.
In the state of being,
We rely on our emotional and somatic intelligence.
So it comes down to,
If we feel that we have value with or without accomplishment,
And if we feel worthy whether or not we're in motion.
Dr.
Dyer's quote continues,
Don't equate yourself with how well you do things in life.
You aren't what you do.
If you are what you do,
When you don't do,
You aren't.
Know that you are valuable and worthy just by being here,
And what you choose to do is up to you.
Thank you for tuning in,
And may your day be filled with blessings.
Namaste.
