Hello and thank you for tuning in to this meditation to help you develop compassionate awareness toward yourself and others.

This practice has been drawn from Metta or loving kindness.

As you settle into a comfortable place,

You may notice the support of the props and the earth below you.

Taking a deep breath and then holding your own image as if looking into a mirror,

Seeing the reflection of your eyes,

The shape of your body and sensing into the space around your heart.

Wishing to yourself,

May I be safe,

May I be protected,

May I be happy,

May I be healthy,

May I be at ease and may I be free.

Taking a deep breath.

You may release from your mind's eye your image,

Sending yourself compassionate awareness and then bringing to mind somebody who you love or someone who loves you deeply.

Holding their image in your mind's eye,

You may wish to this person,

May you be safe,

May you be protected,

May you be healthy,

May you be happy,

May you be at ease,

May you be free.

Taking a deep breath and releasing this person from your mind's eye,

Sending them compassionate awareness.

You may now bring to mind somebody who is neutral to you.

You may not even know this person's name,

But wishing them,

May you be safe,

May you be protected,

May you be happy,

May you be healthy,

May you be at ease and may you be free.

Taking a deep breath.

When you're ready,

You may release this person from your mind's eye with compassionate awareness and invite in someone with whom you have difficulty with.

This may be a family member or friend wishing to them,

May you be safe,

May you be protected,

May you be happy,

May you be healthy,

May you be at ease and may you be free.

Taking a deep breath.

When you're ready,

You may release this person from your mind with compassionate awareness and bring to mind all beings.

Wishing,

May all beings be safe,

May all beings be protected,

May all beings be happy,

May all beings be healthy,

May all beings be at ease and may all beings be free.

Thank you for joining me for this practice of compassionate awareness.

May you be safe,

Protected,

Happy,

Healthy,

At ease and free as you walk through each moment.

Namaste.
