Maryam Imogen Ghouth publishes poetry in visual, audio, and written forms. After earning a BA with Honours in Communications, Authoring, and Design, Maryam worked in a range of communication disciplines, primarily copywriting, before fully embracing her creative pursuits. In 2019, she embarked on her artistic journey by making poetry films that explored psychological themes such as existential crises and belonging. In late 2023, she began submitting her films to international festivals, receiving several laurels for her works, including 'Bubble Hat’ and 'Not Alone’. Her poetry recordings have been used as overlays in award-winning short films, such as ‘Under the Sun’ by Alla Dulh; as spoken word and lyrics for music composers and producers, such as Arash Behzadi and Ricardo Haila; and as guided meditations for practitioners, such as Ruqaya Ahmed. Her poems have appeared in several international literary journals, including Last Leaves and inScribe. Bridging expression and self-awareness, Maryam also offers self-discovery sessions using a 26-chapter guidebook she developed as the framework and writing as the tool to help clients uncover their truths and articulate their findings in words. Certified as a Co-Active Coach by the International Coaching Federation, with a practitioner's license in NLP from Richard Bandler, Maryam leans on her background not to coach but to invite honest introspection by asking probing questions that reflect 'what is' rather than 'what should be'.
