Maryam Imogen Ghouth

Maryam Imogen Ghouth works across poetry and prose in visual, audio, and written forms, with a particular interest in exploring the philosophical and psychological dimensions of being human. Her poetry films, including "Not Alone" and "Bubble Hat," have garnered multiple first-place awards and have been showcased in museums, arthouses, cultural events, and various festivals worldwide, from the Art Museum of Nanjing University to Cinema Akil in Dubai and the Sydney Short Film Biennale. Additionally, her poetry recordings have been featured as overlays in award-winning short films, such as "Under the Sun," and she has contributed spoken word and lyrics for music composers and producers, as well as guided meditations for practitioners. Her poems and short stories have appeared in several international journals, receiving first-place honours in literary competitions, most recently the 2025 River Amulet Poetry Prize and the American Writers Review Award. Bridging creative expression and self-awareness, Maryam also offers self-discovery writing sessions as well poetry editing services to emerging poets. Certified as a Co-Active Coach by the International Coaching Federation, with a practitioner's license in NLP from Richard Bandler, Maryam leans on her background not to coach but to invite honest introspection by asking probing questions that reflect 'what is' rather than 'what should be'.
