A little get started.
My name is Mary Freith.
I have been.
.
.
Creating guided meditations for several years now,
I think about seven years.
I discovered meditation back about 25 years ago.
When my life hit an all-time low.
And because meditation was the big thing that helped me reconnect with my heart and heal from the past.
I am on a mission now to.
.
.
Share meditation with as many people as I can.
And meditation for me is something that has opened up my world so that I no longer am focused on Holding on to the pain,
The resentment.
The negativity that is around us.
Let's face it,
There's a lot of negativity in this world right now.
And there always has been.
For me,
Meditation is an opportunity to Leave that on the outside.
Leave the negativity out there.
And come into the heart space,
The heart for me is our purest energy,
Which is entirely made of love and Peace.
Enjoy!
And All of the.
.
.
States of being where we feel our most vibrant,
Our most alive,
Our most connected.
When we spend time in our heart energy,
We can start to feel the connection of all of the beautiful souls on our planet.
And.
.
.
So that's why I decided today that I would offer a meditation.
On letting go of resentment.
Because that is something that we all need.
Have struggled with or are still struggling with.
It's not an easy thing to think about the pain or the hurt that others may have caused us.
And to think about.
.
.
Being willing and ready to actually let that hurt go.
And the thing that.
.
.
I think makes it easier for us to be able to let go of that pain.
Is that we're not doing it for the other person.
We're not doing it to make the other person feel better or the other people.
We are letting go of the heaviness,
The pain.
The resentments.
That keep us feeling oppressed,
Suppressed.
Less than what we would like to feel,
I think.
We are practicing letting go of resentment.
In order to free ourselves,
To free our heart.
To come back to a good feeling beautiful space of love and possibilities.
And a place where we can start to see through the eyes of our heart.
And we can start to see beauty all around us.
Instead of ugliness,
We can start to see possibilities all around us instead of limitations.
So with that in mind,
Let us enter into a.
.
.
A sacred journey right now.
As we join together.
In heart-centered meditation.
To begin.
Find a comfortable position.
And invite gentleness into the body.
Notice any discomfort or tension in the body.
And just try to soften around it Bring your focus to your heart center.
I invite you to tune into the energy of your heart.
Connect with your own loving presence.
Feel the love in your heart.
That is your natural state.
No.
Bring to mind someone you feel resentful toward.
When you're new to this practice,
Don't choose the strongest resentment in your heart.
Instead,
Start where it's a little bit easier.
Take a moment to notice the harm that was caused.
And why you feel resentful.
Connect with the intention.
To cultivate an open and loving heart.
If there is resistance,
Notice its presence without pushing it away.
It takes time to reopen the heart.
So don't force anything.
Begin offering phrases of forgiveness.
Connecting with the words as much as you are able.
Use these phrases.
I forgive you.
I forgive you as much as I am able to in this moment.
May I let this pain free itself from my heart.
If you wish you may want to place the palm of your hand on your heart.
Feel your connection with your heart energy through your hand.
I forgive you.
I forgive you as much as I am able to in this moment.
May I let this pain free itself from my heart.
I forgive you.
I forgive you as much as I am able to in this moment.
May I let this pain free itself from my heart.
Let these phrases go.
And turn toward yourself recognizing that you too have caused harm to others.
You don't need to engage in stories about the harm you have caused.
Just recognize that you have indeed caused difficulties for others.
Whether you intended to or not.
Call to mind a specific person you have hurt.
Begin asking for forgiveness from this person.
Using these phrases.
I ask for forgiveness for any harm I have caused you.
May you find room in your heart to forgive me.
I ask for forgiveness for any harm I have caused you.
May you find room in your heart to forgive me.
I ask for forgiveness for any harm I have caused you.
May you find room in your heart to forgive me.
Now let these phrases go.
And turn toward yourself.
Recognizing that there have been times when you have caused harm to yourself.
Whether you intend it to or not.
Begin asking for forgiveness from yourself.
Using these phrases.
For whatever harm I have caused myself,
I forgive myself.
May I find room in my heart to forgive myself.
For whatever harm I have caused myself.
I forgive myself.
May I find room in my heart to forgive myself.
For whatever harm I have caused myself.
I forgive myself.
May I find room in my heart to forgive myself.
And then,
Letting go of the practice.
And noticing how your body feels right now.
Allowing any sensations to be just as they are.
No judgments.
No harshness.
No criticisms.
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Once again,
Return your awareness to your heart energy.
Feel the love emanating from your heart.
Feel that love.
Radiating outward,
Filling up your body.
Filling up your aura.
And going out into the world.
Feel your connection.
To divine love.
Feel love flowing through your being.
Feel the beautiful energy of love.
The highest frequency.
The highest vibration of the universe.
Love.
And just imagine yourself for a moment.
Going back to your daily activities.
See yourself.
Interacting with people,
Meeting different people,
Talking to people.
And as you are interacting with people.
Can you see these?
People.
Not as flawed humans,
But.
.
.
This beautiful soul.
As perfect,
Loving souls.
The next person that you meet.
See if you can.
Look at them and See their beautiful soul.
Let that be the first thing you see.
In people.
It's a practice.
And as we prepare to return to our usual level of consciousness,
Just take a moment to remember that this practice is always here for you to come back to.
And when you are ready to end this meditation,
In your own time.
Slowly and gently.
Bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
And open your eyes.
Just want to say thank you so much to everyone for joining me in this sacred time of going within,
Into the energy of our heart.
Joining our hearts together with this unique group of people.
It was very special.
I felt the energy.
I felt the love.
And I felt some letting go.
If you felt some letting go,
Give it a heart.
How are you feeling now?
Are you feeling.
.
.
A little more relaxed,
A little more peaceful,
A little bit lighter.
If you're not,
That's okay too.
Don't judge yourself.
Sometimes the first few times we do a meditation like this,
We might feel that we're bringing up some old pain that isn't really feeling good.
And that's okay.
We let go of things in our own time,
Usually little by little,
In layers,
In stages.
At different times we let go of more.
But if you felt that you've let go of something,
At least something,
Today.
Congratulate yourself.
Thank your heart for helping you.
To let go.
And see if you can feel a little bit freer.
