Hi,
My name is Mark Keane.
I'd really like to share with you this very special meditation which is known as the Rose Cross meditation.
It is one that I've personally devised,
But it's based upon a very ancient Western meditation.
In fact,
One which has been guarded closely for a very long time.
I find it very helpful to embody the sacred in me.
I hope for you to make this connection too.
So the first thing is just to ask you where is your attention?
Just pay attention to where your attention actually is.
If it's in the mind,
That's okay.
Just transfer your awareness wherever you find it to be,
Deep into the body.
That's where your attention needs to go.
Basically,
We want to cultivate this deep feeling inside the body of love.
Essentially,
Love is the feeling which comes to the foreground when we relax and simply allow ourselves to be free of the problems which the mind likes to keep generating in order to perpetuate the problem-solving consciousness.
Alright,
So this is going to be a very powerful meditation,
So do take it very seriously and just allow yourself to relax,
Sitting with a straight spine and gently just closing the eyes and let me guide you.
So I want you to feel into the centre of your chest.
Take the time if you like to feel the breath entering the lungs and your lungs expanding.
You might want to take an in-breath to the count of four.
Hold the breath for the count of four.
Exhale to the count of four.
Keep the breath suspended out for the count of four.
You might want to continue breathing in this way as you listen to my voice to guide you deep into the meditation.
So as you're feeling into your chest,
Breathing in this way,
I want you to draw your attention to the spiritual centre which is there,
Which is a psycho-spiritual centre that we know as the heart centre,
Anahata Chakra.
It is related to your physical heart but it's much deeper and more profound in that it holds the keys to your essence and your essence shines from your very own soul,
Your unique vibration.
Your heart centre is at the centre of your existence.
From your perspective,
The heart centre is the centre of all things.
As we become aware of this essence,
It's like becoming aware of the sweet smell of a very pure and very ancient rose.
In following this scent,
It will lead you to the rose itself.
This rose stands alone,
Which is another way of saying all one in a state of perpetual perfection and tarnished by the world.
In the centre of a fully protected ancient walled garden,
Deep within your psyche,
That special place within your mind,
You may begin to visualise this tiny little light that burns bright deep within the centre of your chest.
You'll notice it burns as brightly as the sun itself,
The same intensity exactly,
And it holds the mystery to what actually keeps your heart beating.
It can never fade and it will never die.
Go into that light now,
Feel it in your chest,
Breathe into it.
See it shine brighter and brighter as you breathe in.
Just like when you breathe on hot coals and they glow back at you,
That's what it looks like as you breathe into your inner light.
As you exhale,
You'll notice you'll feel the light growing and expanding right throughout your chest,
360 degrees in all directions,
Just like the sun shines in all directions.
So does this little light begin to expand,
To fill up your chest.
Continue to breathe in to allow the light to brighten each time,
And continue to breathe out,
Allowing it to expand more and more right across your shoulders.
You'll feel strength in your left shoulder,
A deep sense of power embodied in your left shoulder.
In your right shoulder as the light touches it,
You feel honour,
Virtue.
Allow the light to shine down,
Deep down,
Like a sword,
Shining through your sitting bones.
Or if you're standing up,
Allow it to shine right through the soles of your feet,
Deep into the earth.
And like a sword,
This ray of light penetrates the earth,
Anchoring your attention into the sacred holy ground.
All of the earth is sacred.
Simultaneously the light shines from your centre,
Up,
And joins forces with the celestial pure light that shines down.
In doing this,
It illuminates your mind to such a degree as your inner eye opens fully to welcome this image to emerge in the light shining from your heart.
This ineffable pure rose,
Made of a subtle effervescent light,
Light of all light.
Congratulations,
You have now embodied the sacred ancient rose cross and you may now surrender all that is false into it and allow all that is true to rise and come right through you.
Let it shine all around your aura,
Coating you in divine splendour,
Shielding you from harm and attracting magic and mystery back into your life.
This embodiment holds the mystery of Jesus dying on the cross.
For to die on the cross is to allow the egoic consciousness to die,
Or that is to say to surrender in favour of that which is good to come forward,
Eternal life.
Which is to say,
The truth of who you are,
Your soul,
Your conscious awareness.
Carry this special cross around with you whenever you need it,
Just like wearing a suit of armour when you adorn this rose cross,
Nothing can harm you.
You are strong and true and virtuous like the knights of old.
Whether you be male or female,
Fly your flag high inside the eternal sky.
Hold proudly the mystery of the cross.
You embody this quaternity,
The four elements,
The four seasons,
All made possible by orientating your attention into the inner light within your chest,
The sacred,
Sacred fifth element that sets all the wheels of life in motion,
All the chakras,
All that you are,
The spirit of the rose.
