Hello and welcome to the Cultivating Creativity guided meditation series.
Today we're going to be starting this meditation and mindfulness journey around creativity.
Practicing mindfulness can support our creativity.
Mindfulness is a state of non-judgmental moment-to-moment awareness.
Distraction,
Stress,
And distress can affect our creativity and well-being.
When we broaden our connection to a sense of oneness and integrate all things in our life,
We have increased capacity for creativity.
Begin by finding a comfortable position to be in.
Settle in,
Get comfortable,
Allow your eyes to close,
And begin to pay attention to your breath,
Your inhale,
Your exhale.
Give yourself permission to be here in this moment.
The stillness,
Your breath,
And this moment.
Begin by checking in with your body.
Allow your attention to begin sifting through your body sensations,
Noting any aches and pains,
Spaces of tension or tightness,
Areas of space and relaxation.
And continue to deepen your breath in your nose and out your mouth.
And bring your attention to your center,
The center of your body,
The center of your space,
And imagine a light shining here.
Imagine yourself in this center space with this light and begin to get familiar with the details of what you notice.
Notice what this space is.
Is it a cave?
Is it a mountaintop?
Is it the ocean?
There are no right or wrong.
Whatever you notice is perfect in this moment.
Begin to notice what stands out.
Pictures,
Objects,
Artifacts that lead you back to yourself.
Take a few moments to look around this space with this light.
Remembering whatever it is you want to remember and then returning to your breath,
To your inhale and your exhale.
Bring your attention into your heart space.
Breathe deep breath into your heart,
Allowing each inhale and each exhale to create space.
Allow your attention to see what it is that needs your attention most right now and effortlessly give yourself the attention you need.
On your next breath,
Allow an intention to arise.
An intention for the time you're taking right now.
What needs your attention the most and what is your intention for this moment?
Allowing this to fill your heart space.
And if you feel comfortable or called,
Place a hand over your heart,
Allowing more connection with this space in your body.
And then returning to your breath,
Re-enter this center space,
This inner knowing,
Inner wisdom.
See and feel what it is to know yourself more deeply.
Allow yourself to listen to any sounds,
Songs,
Or words that might arise in this center space.
Each day,
I can do one more thing,
The perfect landmark rooted in me.
And allow yourself to keep breathing.
Allow any words or images that may have arise that resonated with you.
Allow yourself to remember these words and images and let yourself see how these images and words link to your creativity.
The intersection of what's resonating with you and your creativity.
Try not to judge it or question it in this moment.
Affirm that you will allow what you discovered today to inform your creativity.
Your creativity is cultivated in every moment of every day.
All you need to do is pay attention.
Bring yourself back to your breath.
Slowly begin to wiggle fingers,
Toes,
Gently rolling wrists and ankles,
Allowing your eyes to open.
And over the next few minutes,
Allow yourself to create something from what you uncovered today during this meditation.
Allow what you uncovered to inform and infuse whatever it is you are creating.
Thank you for taking the time to join me on this guided imagery.
Please feel free to come back to it as often as you like,
Allowing yourself to continue to grow and deepen into your creative self.
Aloha.
