Welcome,

My name is Maria Koffee and I am delighted to guide you on this journey of deep relaxation and acceptance.

Helping you tune out snoring and other distractions.

To begin,

Find a comfortable,

Quiet place where you can sit or lie down without interruptions.

Close your eyes if you haven't already and allow the outer world to fade away.

Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your nose slowly.

And with each breath,

Feel yourself sinking deeper allowing the day's problems and life's concerns to drift away.

Feel the surface beneath you fully supporting your weight.

There's nothing you need to do right now,

But simply be here.

Now take a deep inhale and exhale slowly.

Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Continue breathing this way,

Letting each breath drawing you further into a state of calm.

Feel the air as it enters your nostrils,

Cool and refreshing.

Then exits warm and soothingly.

Notice the subtle sensations in your body.

With every exhale,

Allow uneasiness to melt away,

Feeling safe and protected.

Bring your attention to your body.

Slowly scan from the top of your head to your toes,

Releasing any tension you encounter.

Relax the muscles in your face.

Let your shoulders drop and soften your arms and legs.

Feel a gentle smile forming on your lips,

Signaling to your body that it's safe to relax.

With each breath,

Feel yourself sinking deeper into the surface beneath you,

Becoming heavier and more grounded.

Imagine all the weight and burdens of life being absorbed by the earth.

Focus on this present moment where you are secure and at ease.

Let the tranquility of your breath guide you deeper into this journey.

With each inhale,

Feel lighter.

And with each exhale,

Think farther into relaxation.

Imagine a warm,

Comforting light spreading throughout your body,

Filling you with openness and freedom.

This light grows stronger with every breath.

As you realize,

You've entered a place of complete security and comfort.

Now bring to mind a moment when you felt truly loved and accepted.

Let that feeling envelope you like a cozy blanket and allow yourself to fully settle into this peaceful stillness.

Trust that everything essential is happening within you.

Any external sounds,

Such as snoring,

Are just a part of the background,

Insignificant and easily ignored.

They are merely passing through your awareness,

Unable to disrupt your peace.

In this safe,

Relaxed state,

Imagine you're lying in bed and a snoring noise starts rumbling in the background,

Varying in pitch and volume.

In the past,

Such sounds may have caused frustration.

But now,

You feel the warmth and light in your body neutralizing them.

The snoring no longer bothers you.

Instead,

It flows through the space around you without leaving a mark.

With each breath,

Feel the comforting light growing,

Dissolving any remaining tension,

Worry or nervousness.

You are completely unaffected by external distractions,

Surrounded by your own expanding comfort.

Now begin to experiment with maintaining this sense of relaxation,

Even in the presence of snoring.

Notice how easily you can claim your space,

Feeling secure,

Keeping your inner calm.

You can expand this sensation as much as you like,

Creating a protective bubble around yourself.

You remain undisturbed,

Allowing all noises to help you sink even deeper into relaxation.

Reflect on how in the past you may have tossed and turned,

Using pillows or earplugs to block out the noise.

But now,

In this expansive and peaceful state,

Those familiar frustrations simply fade away.

It's hard to even remember the irritation that once bothered you.

But if irritation and sleeplessness want to return,

It will struggle to survive in this atmosphere of warmth and ease.

Here and now it dissolves on its own and you can trace any lingering frustrations back to its roots,

Releasing it completely.

As you listen to the snoring,

Notice how your past reactions,

Those spiraling thoughts and restless feelings,

Have no power anymore over you.

And instead of getting frustrated or storming out of the room,

You realize your inner state of shining light and fastness easily handles those rising impulses.

There are no unwanted sounds.

On the contrary,

Every noise is embraced and welcomed as a part of the experience.

You are filled with patience and acceptance.

And for a moment,

You find yourself standing in front of a mirror,

Observing how old frustrating thought patterns begin to surface.

But in your state of deep relaxation,

You see them appear like reflections on the glass,

Only to dissolve and vanish.

As you step away from the mirror,

You leave no trace behind.

Free from the echo of past irritations,

They no longer define you.

Now bring your awareness to the sound of snoring,

Perhaps from someone who once aggravated you the most.

Consciously experience how those scrambling,

Rumbling noises enter your ears in this new state of openness.

Notice how the sound waves seem to evaporate into a sense of expansion and calm.

Feel yourself welcoming that snoring person with warmth and acceptance.

Imagine yourself breathing long and deep.

Notice what happens to the distress and sleeplessness under these conditions.

They lose all their power.

Now allow another person or group to come to mind.

The first that appears.

Visualize a situation that once felt particularly difficult.

Gently confront it.

Allow this moment to unfold as you stay open,

Following it with your awareness until there is nothing left but a memory.

Let it dissolve into a free,

Warm feeling in your chest,

Your breath flowing smoothly and effortlessly.

As your breath deepens and relaxes,

You realize that even in the face of these once challenging situations,

The inability to sleep no longer has a hold over you.

Now shift your focus to another mirror.

This time your body has found a rhythmic motion.

Maybe you begin to sway gently,

Moving in a soothing figure-eight pattern,

Inviting deeper relaxation with each subtle motion,

Or whatever feels natural and soothing.

Let this movement release any remaining tension.

Feel how the sounds and sensations fade,

And the gentle motion allows you to let go of all lingering weight from past memories or nervousness.

This process reaches deep within,

Unbinding old attachments,

Leaving you clear,

Open,

And relaxed.

It becomes evident that some of the habits and feelings you've released are permanently gone,

Leaving only peace in their place.

You can continue to play with former restlessness later,

But for now stand before another reflective surface.

You hear a familiar,

Welcoming voice offering peace and spaciousness,

Saying,

Whatever I cannot change,

I can choose to let go of.

I can easily ignore what is beyond my control,

Like someone else's snoring,

And instead use all sounds and irritations to guide me deeper into relaxation and rest.

Simultaneously,

You hear the sound of snoring,

But instead of aggravation,

You feel your perspective shifting.

You are aware that you are in control of what you let enter into your space,

And what you choose to disregard.

A smile spreads across your face,

And you realize how simple it is to relax,

Even with all sorts of annoying sounds and noises around you.

You feel safe,

Supported by your secure domain,

Allowing all snoring you experience,

Or recall,

Lulling you into a restful,

Uninterrupted sleep.

You know that in the future,

These distractions will not disturb your peace anymore.

If you'd like to stay in this state of relaxation,

Feel free to continue.

Or,

As the session draws into a close,

Welcome the playful snores of this adorable pug puppy,

With huge clustering,

Inviting you to smile and settle into calm relaxation.

Picturing his growling and snorting sounds as a light-hearted lullaby,

Encouraging you to no longer perceive snoring as a disruption,

But a gentle or even funny rhythm,

Guiding you to rest,

Inviting you to unwind and relax.

And when you're ready,

Begin to gently wiggling your fingers and toes,

Welcoming subtle movement back into your body.

Become aware of the surface beneath you,

The sensation of the air on your skin,

And your natural breath flowing in and out.

Stretch if it feels good,

And take a moment to thank yourself for dedicating this time to self-care.
