So close your eyes if you want to.
Sit comfortably,
Sit with awareness,
With pride,
With an open chest,
And after that relax the body.
You don't need to change your posture during the meditation,
Just set it up in the beginning and then it will be fine.
When you feel discomfort,
Then feel free to move,
But always take your time before meditation to sit comfortably,
A blanket if you're cold.
So feel your feet touching the floor,
Chair supporting your body,
Imagine a vast blue sky stretching endlessly.
Really visualize this,
When you have visualized this,
Then see that it's infinite,
Unchanging,
Very very wide,
And imagine that you are this sky,
Open,
Spacious and free.
Now also notice small clouds drifting through the sky,
They move gently,
Entering and leaving your field of vision,
And see these clouds as your thoughts,
Appearing and disappearing.
But you as the blue sky remain steady and unaffected by the clouds.
You don't meddle in the clouds,
You just let them drift by.
Now observe the clouds more closely,
What thoughts are they carrying,
Are there tasks that you still need to complete,
Maybe there's a music melody in your mind,
Self-judgment.
Simply notice those clouds without judgment,
See them and think about them like there's another one,
As you watch them drift by,
And there's another one.
No need to do anything with them,
You just observe them.
And then you realize also you don't need to do anything with these clouds,
You let them float away,
The sky being you,
Remains perfect and unchanged always.
Although thoughts come and go,
But you are not your thoughts,
You simply have them.
You can see them as mental processes,
Some you can use and others you can let drift away.
And the same can be said for emotions.
They might be a bit bigger,
Sometimes they a bit darker,
Sometimes they are not darker,
Sometimes they might be a bit slower to pass by,
But the approach is very very similar.
You just let them float by,
Let them fly and drift off in their own way,
In their own time.
You just notice them without judging yourself.
Like we said with thoughts,
You just notice,
Ah,
There's another cloud,
And there's another one.
You may be thinking,
Ah,
Funny,
This one is passing away faster,
Or it's bigger,
Or the shape doesn't disturb you,
Color doesn't disturb you.
Because you are the blue sky,
Having space for all the weather.
So you stay as the accepting and allowing blue sky,
Not touched by any thought and emotion.
In this way,
You're reminded that you always have a choice how to look at thought and emotions.
And see them much more as mental processes.
All physical sensations in the body,
We talk about emotions.
And in that way,
We can look at them with much more clarity,
And we can be very intimate with them without losing ourselves in it.
Because as in this metaphor,
We are the space which provides these experiences to move in and out.
And that is really something that cultivates clarity and peace and happiness.
And creating that basis in your work is going to make all the difference.
You can do this kind of meditation,
Maybe with the audio,
Various times.
Sometimes you can just sit in silence and be open for everything.
Having this view,
This attitude towards thoughts and emotion,
But also sounds,
Bodily sensations,
Breath,
They're all so welcome in the spaciousness and the silence and the peace which we are.
In this meditation stands for the blue sky.
And let yourself sink into this spaciousness for the last minute or two.
I feel this is a very relaxed attitude because everything is welcome.
And you don't have to be involved in any of them.
Like the weather is not influencing the blue sky.
It's always there,
Always available for us to come back to the present moment in openness and spaciousness.
If we can live from this place,
We really open the door for happiness.
All right,
Take a few moments of this open awareness.
Notice how it made you feel,
What it does to your body,
You are that open.
And when you open your eyes and close the meditation,
See if you can bring it along in your workday.
So you break the barrier,
You could say,
Between meditation and the attitude of meditation.
And the more you're going to break that barrier,
Life will become your meditation.
Work will be your meditation,
Where you can practice being open.
And the formal meditation on the mat will be your playground to practice that what you want to apply in your work life.
One goal only,
Happiness.
Okay,
You can close off the meditation.
Take your time.
Thank you.
