This is a simple yet powerful meditation on analyzing our interdependence on our families and dear ones. And in this process, feel the love that they have showered on us. Nobody has perfect relationships with anyone. But what is our aim? Our aim is to shun the negativities and embrace the positivities. Embracing positivities helps us to get rid of the irritations and anger towards people. So, please make sure that you concentrate on the positives of the people. May you feel love around you.

We often take our families for granted.

Sometimes we don't think twice before speaking harsh words to them.

We often miss the little things they do for us.

And we think we'll do something for them but then we forget.

Let's take a step back,

Ponder on the love that we have around us.

Let's come in a meditation posture.

Let your legs be grounded,

Your back is straight and your eyes are gently closed.

Let's calm our bodies first.

Do a quick scan of your body starting from the top.

Scan your head,

Your face and relax each and every part as you move through.

Scan the front body starting from your neck,

Your chest and your abdomen.

Go down to your legs and relax the complete body as you move through these organs.

Now scan back.

Now scan the back portion of your body from your shoulders,

Your spine and relax your thighs.

Take 3 deep breaths and feel your body get comfortable with your body.

We often think we are self-made but think about it.

Will you be here without your family,

Without your near and dear ones?

Let's take a moment about what our mothers and fathers have done for us.

In case you had someone else as your guardian,

Think about them.

Remember the aim of this meditation is to transcend the negative turbulence and find happiness and love.

So concentrate today on the positives of them and what they have done for you the best they could.

Starting from your birth,

Think how she carried you in her womb and took the troubles and sacrifices for long 9 months.

How they cared for you even when you were not even born.

Think about the nourishment they provided to you so that you were healthy and strong.

Think about how they tried their best to give you the best education and an environment for your growth.

I am sure some would have also sacrificed their careers,

Their time,

Their hobbies and their ambitions just to make sure that you were safe always.

Think about the nights when they were not able to sleep because you were not well.

Think how they cried with you and how they laughed with you and be with you wherever they could.

Think about the joys and struggle your siblings have taken for you.

They have always had your back.

We all have different relationships with our guardians,

With our families.

But there is absolutely no way that we could be here where we are if they were not with us.

Why don't you sit back and imagine that you are writing a letter to your guardian,

To your family,

Saying thanks for all they have done for you as best as they could according to their capabilities,

Their situations.

Take your time and write a beautiful letter to them.

Write your heart out and also imagine them smiling at you while you are reading this to them.

Imagine how they are feeling,

How our lives are interdependent,

Is the greatest power,

Is the greatest source of happiness.

It's a good practice to repeat this often in the morning.

My life is dependent on so many people.

I am who I am because of certain people who did their best in their capacities.

May they be happy always and may I bring a lot of happiness to them.

Feel the love that you have around,

Smile and enjoy your day.

Thank you for practicing with me.

May you be happy always.

Beautiful meditation. Much needed. My mom has Alzheimerโ€™s and she is in my car this week. She is grumpy today and itโ€™s a challenge which is why i chose to meditate this morning. You have given me an entirely different perspective and now I can be much more compassionate in my care. Thank you!

Such a gentle and pragmatic voice free of affect. And the music also gentle, interesting in melody without triggering a particular emotion except maybe the love sheโ€™s speaking of.
