Hello and welcome to this space.
My name is Maya and I'm going to be guiding you through this meditation today.
So to begin,
I'll invite you to just get settled into your space.
Make sure that you're somewhere where you will not be disturbed for a few minutes and you feel really safe to just relax and be with yourself in this moment.
When you feel ready to do so,
You can soften your gaze so that it rests somewhere on the horizon or you can gently close your eyes.
Just let yourself land.
If there are any tasks that are nagging at you,
Know that they will be here when you come out of this meditation.
Start by bringing your awareness and attention down into the body.
Noticing any places in the body where there may be tension.
Where you may be bracing against the world.
This could be in your jaw.
This could be in the front of the neck.
This could be in the heart space.
Or the belly.
Just notice if you are squeezing your legs together or holding tension in your thighs.
There's no need to judge or fix your posture.
Just take this moment to notice.
Notice where the heaviness and the tension tends to reside within your physical body.
Notice if there is any aching in the back of your heart space.
If your head feels heavy.
If your eyes are having a hard time to fully relax.
I'm going to invite you to bring your hands to your body.
So one hand over your heart space.
And the other on your solar plexus.
And we're just going to stay here and breathe for a few minutes.
So you can feel the rise and fall of your body beneath your hands with every inhale and every exhale.
Let the breath be soft.
Let it be gentle.
Let it be easy.
Let all of your attention and awareness just rest on the breath.
There is nothing for you to prove in this moment.
You are safe to be as you are.
And if thoughts come up as they are prone to do,
You can just let them go.
Let them drift by as if they were clouds in the sky.
And you are the canvas beyond them.
Trust that anything you need to remember will come back to you.
Letting the breath deepen as you stay here.
Feeling all those tense places in your body begin to soften.
Now we're going to let go of the breath.
And I'm going to invite you to call forward the energy of someone who truly loves you.
This is your safe person.
This is someone who,
Regardless of what you do or where you are in your life,
You know they will always be there for you.
You could also call upon your higher self if you can't think of anyone in this moment.
Knowing that your higher self loves you unconditionally.
So you're going to sit with this person.
Imagine that you're somewhere that feels safe to you,
Whether that's inside a room or someplace in nature.
You're going to bring forward to them everything that you've been blaming yourself for recently.
This can be big things,
This can be small things.
Any of those looping thoughts,
The harsh critical inner voice that You haven't been able to silence.
You're going to let these thoughts be aired into the space between you.
Knowing that this is a safe space.
This is a place that is held in love and compassion.
So let yourself be heard.
As you're speaking,
This person just holds your gaze.
They witness you.
And there is no judgment in their expression.
You can feel their acceptance,
Their warmth.
Their compassion,
Their care.
They just take it in,
They witness you as you are expressing whatever has been on your mind.
You continue to just speak freely.
Telling them of anything you have felt ashamed of.
That you have been too afraid to.
.
.
Say aloud.
And you pause and this person just looks you in the eyes and says to you,
Hey,
I see you.
There is nothing wrong with you.
There is nothing wrong with your process,
With what you are experiencing.
I'm so sorry that you are carrying all of this.
And it makes sense how you're feeling.
They reach out their hands and.
.
.
Behold you.
And you can let yourself be held here.
Feel the weight of all those words that you spoke.
Just dissolve in the space between you.
Feel the heaviness of that self blame begin to soften.
There is nothing wrong with you.
There is nothing you need to prove in this space.
There is no one to impress.
You are loved exactly as you are.
And take a nice deep breath in through the nose.
And open your mouth and sigh it out.
You can thank this person for their presence with you today,
Knowing that they will always be here when you need them.
That this love is not going anywhere,
No matter what you do.
Or how many times you feel you have failed,
This love will always be here.
And slowly allow this visualization to dissolve.
You find yourself back in the room where you began.
Take a moment to notice.
If you feel any lighter,
If the voices in your head have quieted at all.
And see if you can rest in this sense of being held,
This sense of compassion for the rest of your day.
Knowing that there is no need to blame yourself for it.
Your experience for your actions when you are only trying your best.
Bring your hands together over your heart space.
Thank yourself for showing up for you today.
For taking this time to soften the self blame.
And begin to write a new story.
You can stay here for as long as you need to.
When you feel ready.
You can open your eyes.
