‘Be still at the ocean’s edge. Float, and you will remember.’ Nature holds innumerable reminders of how we can move and connect back to our true nature — the rhythm that flows through our veins, that steadies us within the tapestry of life. Amidst the busyness of the modern world, this poem offers a quiet moment to return to your centre and remember where you come from. Take this breath and come home to you. Imprint leave your footprints in the sand breathe as they land and root down here the ocean waves crash into all you are struggling to let go of let the salt sting your skin into remembering what it means to be present what it means to be presence to call yourself home when you feel lost set adrift on the oceans of life alone some seasons we feel we are nothing more than driftwood something once solid now untethered by anything but the endless skies the sun burning hot on our skin we forget how our kin the trees they never forget where they came from even as driftwood they retain the stories that make them who they are you are no different you are a part of the same fabric a dent in the surface of the rolling tides be still at the ocean's edge float and you will remember
