There are so many different ways we can express our love; there are so many different ways we receive it. Nearly every one of us has at least one person in our lives who loves us, yet we do not always feel their love. Sometimes, this is because we are not allowing ourselves to be open enough to let it in. Sometimes, it is because they do not know how we would wish for them to show it. Through this guided meditation, you’ll become more familiar with the ways in which you desire to be supported. You’ll be guided to acknowledge all the ways you are already showing up for yourself, as you are in this moment, and sit into the feeling of truly being seen & held. You are safe. You are loved. You are held. You are worth showing up for. You are worth showing up for yourself, just as you are deserving of having others show up for you. Let’s take this moment to reconnect to that truth.

Hello and welcome to this space.

My name is Maya and I'm going to be guiding you through this meditation today.

So to begin I invite you to just settle into your space.

If you need to wiggle around a little bit to find a comfortable seated position you can do so now.

And just let the day fall away.

There's nothing that you need to do in this moment except just be here now.

When you feel ready you can gently close your eyes and if you don't feel safe to do so you can just let your gaze rest on the horizon.

Your eyes slightly slid it open.

We're just going to follow the flow of the breath.

Taking stock of your body in this moment.

How it feels to be here today.

You're just going to allow your attention to be drawn to a point in the body where you can feel the breath.

So that may be your chest,

That may be your belly.

And we're not forcing or pushing the inhale or the exhale.

Just allowing the breath to do its thing.

As you sit into the space you may find that your breath naturally begins to deepen.

Just allow that.

Allow any tension to ease out of your body that is not necessary.

Notice if you're bracing in your diaphragm.

Just allow the breath to be easy.

There's nothing that you need to protect yourself against in this moment.

As you sit here following the breath,

You may find that some thoughts drift through your mind,

Trying to capture your attention.

You can just allow them to exist.

Knowing that anything that you need to get done,

Anything that you need to remember,

Will be waiting for you.

Once you're done here,

Sitting with yourself,

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth,

Sighing out anything that is no longer serving you.

You are safe.

You are held.

You are loved.

You are worth showing up for.

You can acknowledge how you are showing up for yourself in this moment.

How you've taken this time out of your busy day to just be with yourself.

Acknowledge how that feels.

How it feels for someone to show up for you without any agenda.

How you are just in presence with yourself in this moment and it is enough.

It is enough.

Kind of bring to mind the image of yourself and find yourself standing in your home,

Some place that you spend a lot of your time.

Maybe you're standing in the middle of your kitchen.

Maybe it's the end of a long day and you're returning home to yourself.

In this moment,

I just want you to imagine what it would feel like to know that somebody is going to show up for you in the ways that you need.

What would it look like for you to feel supported?

What would help you to feel the most held in your day-to-day life?

That could be very simple things.

Could be a loved one that remembers to check in with you in the morning.

It could be a simple conversation at the end of the day.

Someone who remembers to ask you how your day went and the way that they really listen when you tell them.

Someone helps you to wash the dishes and take out the trash.

Make sure that your space is beautiful and clean.

Maybe you have a friend who invites you out for walks regularly.

Someone who invites you to do fun things and organizes all the details so you don't have to worry.

What does love look like to you in the season?

What would it look like for you to feel held?

Just sit with that question and see what comes.

Do you need more words of affirmation?

Do you need somebody to tell you how good you're doing?

Someone to encourage you in the moments when you doubt yourself?

Do you need more hugs?

What do you need?

What would it look like for someone who loves you to show up for you?

Just allowing these thoughts and images to bubble up to the surface.

Anything that needs to be seen in this space.

You are worth showing up for.

You are worth showing up for yourself.

You are worth having someone you love show up for you in all the ways that you need.

You are worth feeling seen and held and taken care of.

You can just let any last images come to mind.

Allowing yourself to receive this love.

And when you feel ready,

You can begin to let go of this visualization.

Feel your fingers,

Feel your toes.

Come back to your body.

Placing one hand over your heart,

Just thank yourself for showing up for you today and for everything that you learned of what you need.

Trusting that you can implement these little small pieces.

Trusting how much of a difference it can make.

When you feel ready,

You can open your eyes.
