Hello,
My name is Lynette,
And welcome to the practice of Yoga Nidra.
Of course,
Like always.
Create a little yoga nidra nest for yourself.
Get really comfortable.
Make sure you're warm.
Make sure you can reduce stimulation as much as possible and maybe even cover your eyes with something light.
But do make sure that you will not be disturbed and you have a little space of peace so that you can rest for just a little while as you take this time for yourself.
Before we begin.
I invite you to.
.
.
Know that you are being held by three energies through this practice.
The energy or guide of reminding you to tend to your own heart.
Remembering that tending to your own heart is sacred work,
Not indulgence.
The second energy or guide is your intuition and being reminded that It is already within you.
What you need to know is already within you,
Quietly under your thoughts.
So remembering to kind of tap into your intuition and knowing that is enough.
That is enough guidance and wisdom,
And it's there.
And the third energy or guide is the power of choosing to cross a threshold.
And remembering that every time you are faced upon a decision,
Or a change,
Or a cycle completing and another one beginning that just making the decision to walk over the threshold of change is so powerful.
And we'll be weaving those three energies together.
So let those three energies settle around you now.
Like a circle.
Holding you,
Like you are sinking down into this kind of bubble of space where you are being held.
By the power of these three guides or guiding energies.
Take a few breaths here,
Focusing on that exhaling,
Maybe exhaling a little more than you have all day.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself sinking down.
Down into the space of your heart where you are reminded of.
Appreciation and gratitude and just connecting to your own heart's desire.
But being grateful for.
Something in this moment where you're connecting the present moment with what you will be stepping into.
They're not separate.
They are linked together.
And this present moment is a portal.
So sinking down into this portal of the present moment and just tuning into anything you might feel grateful for right now.
Letting it sit at the center of your heart.
And just take a few more breaths here.
And as you settle in,
We begin the practice of Yoga Nidra.
As you settle in,
I invite you to begin setting your sankalpa.
Began to set a single intention.
Let it rise from the center of your grateful heart.
A seed of truth that is already true.
Even before you see it,
Even before you speak it out loud,
It arrives as a feeling,
A quiet resolve.
There's no need to search hard for it.
Just let it float up on its own.
The things that matter most do when we finally stop chasing or forcing.
And once this feeling arrives,
Silently repeat it to yourself,
Either the word or the feeling,
Or putting it into a sentence beginning with I am.
Repeat this to yourself three times,
And let it settle into the space just at the back of your heart where it will rest untouched until we return to it again at the end of this journey.
Repeat it to yourself three times,
As your body relaxes more and more,
Imagine a single rose above you.
Soft and open.
Its petals catching whatever light remains with closed eyes.
And with each body part that we touch on.
This rose will gently lower.
Its petals brushing that place,
Softening it completely before rising to continue on.
The rose touches your right hand.
Thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Each finger softening beneath the petals.
The palm of your right hand.
The back of your hand.
Your whole right hand.
It moves to your wrist.
Forearm.
Right elbow.
Upper arm.
Right shoulder.
Each area softening beneath the gentle touch of the rose.
The rose crosses over to your left hand.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
The palm of your left hand.
The back of your hand.
Your whole left hand.
It moves to your wrist.
Forearm.
Left elbow.
Upper arm.
Left shoulder.
Each area softening beneath the rose.
Now the rose rests at your chest.
It's petals opening a little wider here,
Softening the center of your heart completely.
It moves down to your belly.
Your womb space,
Whether you carry a womb or not,
The womb space,
The low belly,
This rose rests in this area.
Opens fully,
Softening this area petal by petal.
Honoring this space as creative.
As the space where so much begins.
The seat of your creativity.
And this rose continues to your low back.
Dropping you down towards the earth.
And then the rose touches down to your right hip.
Die.
Right knee.
Calf.
Right ankle.
Heal.
The sole of the right foot.
All of your toes together.
The rose passes over your right foot.
And then moves to your left hip.
Bye.
Left knee.
Cal.
Left ankle.
Heal.
The sole of your left foot.
The top of your foot.
All of your toes.
Your whole left foot.
Coffins.
The rose rises now back up through your body as the petals open this full rose rises through your body.
Resting gently up at your throat.
Than your jaw.
Both sides.
Jaw unclenches.
The right eye.
Left eye.
Both eyes together.
The space between your eyes.
The rose opens.
Softening your eyebrows,
Your forehead.
Your whole face and head together.
The whole right side of your body.
The whole left side of your body.
Relax your whole body.
And now in your mind's eye.
Visualize yourself shrinking smaller.
Your body shrinks small enough to rest inside the rose itself.
As the petals spread out around you,
You are cradled at its very center.
The petals curve gently around you on every side.
You are held here completely.
And from this place at the center of the rose,
Begin to notice your breath.
As you inhale,
Imagine the rose gently opening around you,
Petal by petal.
As you exhale,
Imagine it gently closing again,
Folding softly back into a bud,
Holding you safely inside.
Again,
Inhale,
The rose opens.
Exhale,
The rose closes.
Open.
Close.
Once you feel the rhythm of this.
Continue counting backwards.
From 22.
To one.
22,
Inhale.
Opening.
Exhale,
Closing.
21,
Inhale,
Opening.
Exhale,
Closing.
And so on.
If you lose track,
Start again at 22.
You can stop counting.
Even if you haven't reached one.
You might notice something has already released.
Whatever needed to leave you during this breath has already gone.
You are lighter.
Spacious.
Ready?
As you relax your whole body.
Relax your whole body.
And from closed eyes,
Imagine you are standing in a doorway.
You haven't stepped through yet.
You are just standing,
Observing.
Noticing what is behind you.
Already done.
Police spend.
Given generously.
And completely.
And you notice what is ahead of you.
Something not yet formed.
Something not yet named.
It's waiting patiently for you to be ready.
Looking behind you at what was.
What has been done.
What is complete.
And looking ahead.
Something that is not yet here.
But ready.
And waiting.
Behind you.
Ahead of you.
As you pause in the space between no longer and not yet.
You don't have to rush as you relax your whole body.
Right now,
You are allowed to simply be.
No longer.
And not yet.
As you stand in this doorway.
To your left,
You notice a gentle mist.
A fog.
A woman approaches.
She's gentle.
Her hands faintly scented with rose.
She takes your hand.
And presses something small into it.
A rose hip.
This rose hip is your heart's desire.
Hold it now in your palm.
Asking yourself,
What do I actually want?
Now,
What should you want?
What does your heart actually desire?
This woman doesn't answer for you.
She observes you.
She touches her own heart.
And she touches your heart.
And you understand.
Devotion to your own desire is sacred.
To your right,
There is a fog,
A mist.
And another woman approaches.
She quietly approaches with a green velvet cloak.
Carrying the scent of water and old stone.
She is the energy.
Of what is known.
She is the energy of what is felt,
Of the mystery.
Of your intuition.
She doesn't speak in words.
There's just a knowing that arrives.
And this knowing reminds you,
You don't need permission to trust what you already sense.
The knowing that lives within you is not random.
It is yours.
Wisdom gained by everything that you have lived through.
Trust this wisdom.
The mist settles around you,
Cool and soft.
And somewhere in that mist,
The shape of what you already know but haven't said out loud,
Arrives.
Now from directly ahead,
Where the doorway opens into the dark,
Unknown space,
A third woman arrives.
She's carrying two torches.
The light moves with her.
It's alive.
She is the energy of the power of the threshold.
And she stops before you.
Between the energy of your heart and the energy of your intuition.
She holds out one torch.
Reach out and take this light.
Notice how it feels.
This light is something you've held before.
Feel its warmth reach your chest.
Settling beside the rose hips.
And this quiet wisdom.
These three gifts.
You hold together.
Your heart's desire,
Your inner knowing,
And your own light.
The woman from the doorway presses a small key into your other hand.
You don't need to know yet what it opens,
Only that it is yours.
And somewhere ahead,
On the other side of this threshold,
Is a door waiting for this key.
Pause and look at the doorway ahead of you now.
You are standing fully in the threshold.
You are ready.
So all three women step back now,
Into the mist,
Into the fog.
But before they disappear,
You understand.
What each one leaves you with.
Devotion to your own desire.
Trust in your knowing.
And the courage to carry your own light.
All three woven together.
As you stand at the doorway.
You are ready to step through.
And you take that step now.
Into the darkness of the unknown.
As you step through this threshold.
Into whatever comes next.
You hear a message?
Or you repeat your Sankalpa or your intention to yourself now.
The whole scene begins to dissolve.
The doorway,
The torches,
The three women.
You begin to feel yourself dropping back down onto the ground.
Laying down.
In Yoga Nedra.
And as you begin to feel the ground beneath you,
The practice is complete.
Feel yourself landing back in this space and in this time.
In your room.
And as you take a few breaths.
Into your belly,
You remember your intention,
You remember your message.
You remember the three gifts you receive.
You can start to bring your awareness back to the sounds around you.
The sensations of the air on your skin.
You might wiggle your fingers or your toes or let out a big,
Deep sigh through the mouth.
Take your time,
There's no rush,
No hurry.
Whenever you feel like rolling to one side,
You can.
Pausing here in.
.
.
The space between.
No longer who you were?
Not yet who you're becoming.
Knowing that is exactly the right spot to be and that is enough and you are enough.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Feel free to write down any messages or intuitive hits you received.
And I thank you so much for taking time for yourself today and for sharing your time with me.
Sat Nam.
Namaste.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
