Welcome to this sleep meditation for low mood and depression.

I'd like to begin by sending my deepest love and prayers and hope your way.

I have faced many challenges myself with low mood and depression on my path,

So I really feel and know and can empathize with just how dark these places can feel and just how hopeless you can feel within them.

Something that has helped me on my own path and journey with low mood and depression is considering the seasons and the cycles of nature.

Some wise thinkers say that our inner world,

That our bodies and experiences as humans are reflected back to us in the outer world and I like to consider that we all contain the universe within us and that we can find wisdom and things that might support us through the cycles of nature and through what we see reflected outside of us in our outer world.

So something that I like to return to is the seasons and how winter comes and darkness comes and during that period everything on earth can go to sleep,

Can feel frozen or cold,

Can feel like they've died a death or have lost everything perhaps but there is always a promise of spring,

There is always a promise of summer,

There is a promise that the light will return and that these seasons once we endure them they do eventually come to an end.

Having said that I also know and appreciate that when you're in it,

When you're in those dark spaces or when you're in a dark night of the soul or a winter,

An inner winter,

It can feel endless and it can feel as though the light will never return.

So just flooding you,

Sending you so much love,

So much compassion for where you're at at the moment.

I really hope that you can manage to find your way out of your own personal winter and remember how precious you are.

So now inviting you to breathe in your fullest breath to fill your body with air and to sigh it out of the mouth and continuing with that breath just welcoming breath into your body breathing in a nice deep long breath and then exhaling sighing anything out through the mouth and just repeating that breath as many times as you feel you need being nice and slow with the inhale and just sighing,

Releasing,

Letting go of any tension,

Letting go of any worries,

Letting go of any darkness that you're moving through with the out breath and when you feel that you've completed this breath or worked with it for as long as you'd like just returning your breath to its normal rhythm,

Its normal pace,

Breathing in and out of the nose if that's available but if not don't worry and maybe just taking a moment now to notice the body and how it is feeling in this moment where you're sat or lying down maybe noticing how your body feels on the surface beneath you the weight of it where it touches the bed or the chair or the floor noticing all of those points of your body that make contact with the space that you're in and then maybe bringing awareness attention to the points in your body that aren't connected to the surface beneath you any points or areas of spaciousness and once you've completed that maybe bringing awareness and attention to the temperature of the air on your skin maybe tuning in to the hands or the feet if you're not wearing socks tuning in to the face and how the air in the room or whatever space you're in how it feels against your skin and don't worry if this feels difficult to feel into it's something that we can just practice as a way to try and connect and tune into the body it really doesn't matter what we notice to be there or not there so don't worry if you find it difficult to connect with any of these things that i'm sharing all of it is just a practice that we can go into with playfulness and curiosity without passing any judgment on whatever experience we're in whatever experience we're having although i know from experience that when you're in a place of low mood or feeling depressed that practicing non-judgment can be extremely challenging so also resisting any temptation to judge yourself if you are finding any of these practices difficult and knowing that whatever experience you're in is welcome that you are loved even if you do not feel that you are in this moment in time that you are precious inviting you now to notice whether you can make yourself a little bit more comfortable is there anything that you can do to prepare yourself for sleep and rest is there anything that you can adjust just to make your space that little bit cozier or more welcoming for you maybe you might even want to take some time or moments to put a soothing essential oil on such as lavender if you've got a diffuser maybe to notice if there's anything you can bring into the space to just make it feel more soothing and nourishing any smells that can uplift you and knowing that if you're feeling called to do that you can pop me on pause and come back when you've made the space a little bit more nurturing or just remaining where you are and yeah noticing whether there might be an itch or scratch that you need to attend to whether you can make the bed that you're in or surface that you're on any more comfortable by adjusting a pillow if you have or anything like that really taking this time to respond to whatever needs you have in this moment and once you've done that just getting ready to receive and begin to drift off to sleep and i'd like to invite you to set an intention for this sleep meditation maybe tuning in to your heart space and imagining planting a little seed or maybe multiple seeds here little seeds of intention of how you would like to feel how you would like to move through your days and just putting that intention into positive language in the present tense so for instance if you are feeling depressed at the moment and just want to feel okay again and back in balance maybe the intention is i am feeling balanced and open and in love with life so just taking a moment to land on an intention and put it into positive present language and if emotions show up if tears show up if it feels painful to do this i hear you and i'm there holding you from afar so just allowing a little bit of time for you to do that now and once you have created that phrase or felt into that affirmation that intention that we've created together just repeating it either out loud or in your mind's eye three times and then just letting go of that intention sending it out releasing it entirely knowing that it's been heard and of course the collective intention for this sleep meditation is to support you to help you through this period of low mood or depression to flood you with love and to send these light codes into your dna every cell in your body to allow these light language codes to resonate and fill your entire being with their love with their support with their beautiful nurturing energy and light language has been a absolutely huge support for me when i've been in my absolute worst rock bottoms so i hope and pray with all of my heart that they land in your vessel in your beautiful body in the same way and that you can receive the same support from this light language that i've received and felt in my own life so just allowing yourself to settle as you receive these beautiful codes of support you oh I Is Hi See He Is I See See I See And I See I See I I See I See I See I See See You
