Hello and welcome.
My name is Lee Anderson and this is a mirror meditation.
It's for when you want to see yourself fully.
Flaws,
Fire and fabulousness all included.
So thank you for showing up not just to this meditation but to yourself.
This is a short and soulful practice to reconnect with the person in the mirror.
Not the polished,
Filtered,
Trying-to-be version but the real you.
The human you.
The beautiful,
Messy,
Still learning,
Still standing,
Totally worthy you.
Are you ready?
Let's begin.
Please stand or sit in front of a mirror or if there isn't one nearby just imagine you're sitting in front of one.
It's a clear and kind mirror that reflects you just as you are.
No filters,
No editing,
No pressure.
Take these little moments now to settle into your body.
As your shoulders drop,
Your jaw softens.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and sigh it out through your mouth like you've just flopped onto the couch after a long day.
This is your space.
You don't have to fix or impress anyone here,
Not even yourself.
So now looking into the mirror,
Not just at yourself,
Into yourself.
See your face,
Your features,
And your hair doing whatever it's doing today.
See the lines,
The softness,
The stuff you like and the stuff you usually avoid.
Continue to let your gaze soften and your thoughts settle.
And if they don't,
That's okay.
Just notice.
If this feels awkward or uncomfortable,
Read through it.
Place a hand on your heart or your belly and say to yourself,
I am here.
I am safe.
I am allowed to take up space.
Now looking into your own eyes with curiosity and kindness,
Begin to repeat the following phrases either out loud or silently.
I am worthy.
I am enough.
I am deserving of love,
Joy,
And naps.
I am more than my appearance.
I am the sum of my stories,
My stumbles,
And my comebacks.
So you might like to say them again,
But this time with a little more soul.
Say them like you're talking to someone you adore who forgot how amazing they are.
Spoiler alert,
That someone is you.
Okay,
Let's go.
I am worthy.
I am enough.
I am more than my appearance.
I am the sum of my stories,
My stumbles,
And my comebacks.
Now take a breath in and looking directly into your own eyes,
Say,
I am ready.
Pause.
Feel that.
Ready for what?
To stop shrinking?
To start living louder?
To forgive someone?
Maybe even yourself?
Whatever it is,
Let it land in your chest.
Take another breath in and exhale slowly.
And now gently close your eyes.
Let your awareness move inward.
I'm going to take three grounding breaths.
Inhale self-acceptance.
Exhale the need to be perfect.
Inhale compassion.
Exhale comparison.
Inhale truth.
Exhale all the noise.
Feel yourself settling.
Feel your body becoming a place of return,
Not rejection.
You don't need fixing.
You need witnessing.
And today you showed up for that.
So when you feel ready,
Open your eyes and look again into the mirror.
Not to inspect,
Not to critique,
Just to see,
Just to be.
And now give yourself a cheeky little wink.
Yeah,
Go on.
It's just like you're saying,
Oh,
Hey,
Look who's still standing.
You again?
Damn right.
Well,
You have no idea what this one's capable of.
Let yourself smile or snort or eye roll or tear up.
All responses are welcome here.
Because this is what real self-love looks like.
It's messy,
But it's brave.
It's kind and slightly sarcastic when needed.
You are not your reflection,
But you are someone worth reflecting on.
You are not a project.
You are a presence.
And you are allowed to love yourself without having to earn it.
So we're going to take this energy with us into our day.
Not perfect,
But present.
Not flawless,
But flippin' fabulous.
You are here.
You are whole.
You are becoming.
And yes,
You've still got it.
Thanks for being here.
And thanks for being you.
You nailed it.
