Guided seated meditation to enhance loving-kindness and our connection with divine light. This meditation is inspired by the Twin Hearts Meditation shared by Master Co. Created and shared live in class (at home with extra bonus of kitty cat meows), with some chanting and chimes for a short time towards the end. I'm such a weepy lassie. Loving-kindness practice brings me to such a heartfelt space, which is 2021 I am wholeheartedly embracing! Shared with joy and of course, love.

So just in these first few moments,

Making sure you're really comfy.

You know,

And if you've got yourself sat and you've been there for,

You know,

Not even a minute,

But you notice,

Oh,

There's something that you could do to adjust your posture in some way that would be more comfortable,

Then go ahead and be my guest.

You can find height is a good thing,

Height for the hips,

You know,

Enough kind of and softness in the hips so you're not compressing into nerves,

Static nerves,

Anything like that.

So today's session is quite exciting,

Actually,

We're going to do just very simple full yoga breath with focus on breathing into the kidneys because we all need extra energy.

Yeah,

Especially in current circumstances.

And it's not the extra energy to,

To kind of,

You know,

Be peak energy.

It's the energy to keep us steady.

And whatever way that may be.

And when we focus our awareness on the kidneys,

Which are the battery packs of the body,

These two energetic battery packs doesn't matter if you've only got one kidney energetically have to when we focus our awareness on the battery packs of the body and really tune into that we can help nourish ourselves.

And then we're going to practice a loving kindness meditation,

Called the twin hearts meditation and it's something that there's a teacher called Mr.

Co and he works with Tony Robbins and I've been doing these Tony Robbins sessions these last few days and he shared this lovely meditation and it's in a few different forms on the internet.

And so this is a very simple version for us,

We don't have a huge swathe of time.

And it'd be nice just to really enjoy the essence of that.

And I again,

I was thinking about the power of loving kindness,

And how well how powerful it is.

And again,

To be reminded of that physically,

Emotionally,

And spiritually on a Friday after a long week is no bad thing.

So yeah,

For these first moments,

We're just going to deepen the breath and the full yoga breath.

You take a nice big lung full in,

Breathing into the belly,

The ribs,

The chest,

Breathing into the kidneys,

Filling the whole of the torso as best you can.

And then blow it all out through your mouth.

Every last drop.

And then come up breathing into the belly,

Into the lower back,

Up into the ribs,

Up into the chest,

And then blow it all out.

So you're trying to really fill maximum.

And again.

So you blow all the air out.

And then just pause and imagine that all the energy could start to draw into the empty vessel that you are before the breath comes in,

And then just breathe into the belly,

Up into the ribs up into the chest in a comfortable way,

Not in a crazy supercharged way.

And then breathe all the way out through the nose if you can.

But again,

If you've been feeling particularly stressed,

You can breathe out through the mouth as if you're blowing out a candle.

So nice big breath in.

And a nice long exhale.

So breathing in.

And breathing out.

Breathing in nourishment,

Sense of connection with all life.

And breathing out and just allowing the weight of our body to be received by Mother Earth herself.

You don't have to keep all that stress and strain anymore.

So nice big breath in.

And a nice long relaxing breath out.

Breathing in a sense of drawing a line at the end of the week.

And as you exhale comfortably stepping over it.

So occupying that space.

Nice big breath in.

And a lovely affirming breath out.

Continue with that lovely deep breathing in and out.

Bringing the awareness to the entire spine,

Noticing that making sure that the heart's in line with the hips.

That the head's in line with the heart and that the crown of the head is almost as if a little string is there and we're being gently drawn up by that string.

So the chin tucks or dips just a little bit.

Keep going with the breath.

Welcoming nourishing energy in.

Wearing the nourishment of the earth as we exhale.

Breathing in a connection with all life.

And breathing out our place among it.

And so gently opening the eyes if they're closed because I'd like to invite you to hold the hands out from the body as if you're either greeting someone and sharing your loving kindness or imagining mother earth.

A model of mother earth or a miniature in front of you.

And then with this gesture you can reclose your eyes.

Just connecting once again with your body.

Noticing the position of your body and spine.

The length and uprightness of the spine in a soft yet really beautifully life affirming way.

Each of us marking the place that we occupy physically,

Emotionally,

Energetically and spiritually.

And so imagining in front of you someone that you love and just let that wonderful warm response of a smile and loving kindness fill you.

And imagining that at the heart there's a beautiful pink rose or a pink light or pink energy or flames or fire glow.

And that with every breath we're sharing and anointing and wrapping and holding all of those lovely things that are beloved with this wonderful energy and light.

As if we're bestowing blessings.

And you can observe how when they're receiving this love and this kindness and this joy,

How it can fill them up.

So imagining or visualizing in your mind's eye that you're filling your beloved up with this wonderful loving energy from the heart.

And maybe even feel tingling in the palms of your hands as we work with this point,

The secondary fire point of love and kindness.

And you can say in your mind blessings to this person,

I wish you joy,

I wish you love,

I wish the nourishment of the earth,

Let it be yours.

I wish you kindness.

I wish you support.

And I wish you hope.

I wish you a power of love.

And then taking the awareness from the heart up to the crown of the head and imagining and seeing in your mind's eye beautiful golden light like a flame.

And it's hovering just above the crown of the head and we can imagine ourselves empty like a bottle,

Like a vessel and this wonderful glowing light can start to gently fill us.

And just welcoming that warmth,

The radiance,

That sense of being supported and beloved by a greater power than ourselves.

And it could be the universe,

It could be the creative power,

It could just simply be consciousness.

And then sharing this wonderful golden light of blessing with our beloved.

May all divine blessings wrap around you and keep you safe.

May all divine love keep you warm.

May all divine hope provide a shore on which to come home to.

So our beloved is suffused with golden light and with pink light,

Loving energy and divine care.

And I'd like to invite you to extend and expand that to everybody that you love.

Visualize them encased,

Enclosed in the circle of loving kindness that we create with our arms outstretched.

Spend a few moments visualizing each person in turn and again filling them up with this beautiful loving light.

The pink light from the heart.

The golden light from the universe.

And then expanding beyond the people that you love.

And you may wish to do it in a way that's quite straightforward.

Maybe the rest of your street bringing to mind your neighbors and their families.

The neighbors beyond that.

Everything from your street to your neighborhood or your village.

Imagine this wonderful pink loving kindness and this golden light of divine kindness anointing everybody filling them up so they are brimming.

Extending this loving kindness and divine kindness to the whole of the town or city.

Over all of the houses,

The streets.

Over all of the parks and the trees.

Extending from the city to the county.

To the country and the continent.

Wishing everybody,

Every living thing,

All the creatures,

All the plants,

Everything to suffuse with loving kindness and divine love.

May everybody be blessed.

May everything be blessed.

And then from here taking the awareness up once again to the crown of the head.

And you can just place the hands gently in the lap.

And focusing on that golden flame just a few inches above the crown.

And in your mind's eye you can visualize the strength and the power and the beauty of this flame.

Just step into it.

Notice how the flame is immersing everything within its light.

Everything is golden light.

As far and wide as the eye can see.

Step into this golden light and receive its blessings.

Be fully immersed in this golden light.

And let go.

Focus only on this beautiful golden light.

And let go.

Bathe in the power,

In the beauty,

In the energy.

Recognize yourself in this very place.

And let go.

Join,

Be one.

And then from here just coming back into your present awareness,

Keeping the eyes closed.

And just gently wiggle fingers and toes and become aware of your body and the shape and positioning of your body with the eyes closed.

And just all of that wonderful golden energy we can now share with our beloved,

With those we love,

With the whole of humanity and the whole of the world.

So once again just taking the arms out,

Palms facing outwards to embrace all living things.

May the blessings of divine love be yours.

May everybody,

Mother Earth,

All of her children be blessed and full of light and joy,

Love and hope.

Where there is discord,

May there be harmony.

Where there is disease,

May there be wellness and health.

Where there is grief,

May there be untold joy.

Where there is darkness,

May they be filled with light.

And so in your mind or out loud,

You're very welcome to chant three om's.

And when we chant om,

It's the sound of creation,

The very pulse of the universe itself,

That mantra where we connect with the divine in all consciousness.

Om,

Om,

Om.

And so imagining beautiful Mother Earth out in front and that we have a magical zoom lens and we can zoom right into the continent in which we are right now,

Into the country,

Into the city,

The town,

The village,

The street,

The home,

Into where we are right now.

May we be,

All of us,

Channels for this loving kindness and energy.

May we bless ourselves,

Our family,

Our friends with our love and our joy and our sense of connection.

And then from here,

Just placing the hands back in the lap,

Just spending the last few minutes absorbing the fruits of our meditation practice today.

Notice how the body is.

Notice the quality of your mind.

Notice the quality of your emotions.

800 And so just starting to move fingers and toes.

Deepen and lengthen the breath.

Just very gently open your eyes.
