This is Kevin Pearce.
I'd like to share with you now something that's been so amazingly helpful,
Healing,
Calming,
And really allowed me to slow down in my daily life.
Let's find ourselves in a comfortable seated position,
On a chair,
A couch,
Or on the floor,
Wherever it is that you're most comfortable.
And gently close your eyes.
Pause and take a slow,
Deep inhale.
And a slow,
Deep exhale.
Do that one more time.
A slow,
Deep inhale.
And a slow,
Deep exhale.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Noticing how your body gently expands and softens with each breath.
Call into mind someone you love.
This could be a family member,
A partner,
A friend,
A pet.
Think about a memory when you felt love for them.
What are they doing?
How do they look?
Let yourself feel love for this person.
Feel the joy and connection you have with them.
Open yourself to this feeling.
Once you are fully present with your feeling of love,
Let go of the thought of this person.
Focus entirely on your feeling of love.
Feel the energy of love within your body and within your heart.
Let this love radiate throughout the body in each breath.
Notice how the feeling of love and joy remain even after you let go of the person inspiring it.
Your love originates from within.
It is not dependent on anything outside of you.
To transition us out of this practice,
Take a deep inhale to gather your love.
And an exhale to send it to everyone around you.
Let's do that one more time.
A deep inhale.
And a deep exhale to send your love.
Now gently open your eyes and notice how you are feeling after a few quick moments of slowing down,
Stopping,
And relaxing.
