Welcome to the Happy Place guided meditation.
Make sure that you are comfortable somewhere where you will not be disturbed for the duration of this meditation.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale let go of any negativity that you are holding onto.
Allow any tension to leave your body.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale notice a feeling of calm flowing through your body as though all the stress is leaving you.
Take a moment to think about a place that makes you feel happy and calm.
Whether it's a beach you enjoy,
A park,
A mountain.
Think of a happy place where you feel comfort.
It could be anywhere,
Even being at someone's house where you feel safe.
Imagine that you are standing in your happy place.
Allow yourself to let go of any thoughts and just be peaceful right here in your happy place.
You look around you.
What do you see?
What colour is the sky or the ceiling above you?
What can you smell?
The fresh air or a certain fragrance?
Take a deep breath and breathe in this familiar smell and as you exhale allow yourself to feel more relaxed.
With every deep breath you are reaching a deeper state of relaxation.
You see a comfortable place to sit in your happy place.
Sit down and notice the surface below you.
What does it feel like?
Is it soft,
Cushioned or fluffy?
Notice the texture in your fingers.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale notice your muscles relaxing into the surface.
This is your happy place,
A place where you can feel calm and relaxed.
Remind yourself that you are safe here.
You are safe here in your happy place.
Focus on your breathing,
The rise and fall in your chest and stomach.
How do you feel in this moment?
Do you feel happy?
Bring a smile to your face and repeat to yourself,
I am happy,
I am calm and I am safe.
Here in your happy place you are happy,
You are calm and you are safe.
Bring your attention back to your breathing.
In this happy place look around you,
What can you see?
A particular item of view that you enjoy.
Take a deep breath.
What can you smell?
Take a moment to listen to the familiar sounds.
What can you hear?
Whilst being here in this happy place,
What can you taste?
Bring your hands over the surface below you and notice the textures you feel as you touch this comfortable seat.
You are here in this happy place.
Allow yourself to be peaceful and invite a heartwarming feeling of joy into your body.
Notice how this joy fills within your body.
And again repeat to yourself with a smile on your face,
I am happy,
I am calm and I am safe.
You are happy,
You are calm,
You are safe.
This happy place is a feeling that lives inside of you,
That you can access by being present in your mind and body.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale allow yourself to be fully relaxed in this moment.
You are fully relaxed here.
You are happy,
You are calm and you are safe in this happy place.
And again repeat to yourself with a smile on your face.
And again repeat to yourself with a smile on your face.
And again repeat to yourself with a smile on your face.
