This meditation will be soft-spoken and so it can also help you to fall asleep.

Make sure that you are comfortable either sitting down or laying down.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and as you exhale let go of any tension in your body.

Breathe in again and notice your body beginning to relax and as you breathe out allow yourself to reach a deeper state of relaxation.

It's normal for your mind to wander and for you to notice your inner monologue.

As you reach this deeper state of relaxation your mind will slowly release these thoughts.

As you listen to my voice and allow yourself to feel at peace in this moment.

Take a few more deep breaths.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and feeling more and more relaxed.

Breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

As you begin to drift into this peaceful place notice the feeling in your body.

The sensation that runs from your head to your toes as you let go of any tension and allow yourself to be present in this moment letting go of any stress that you are holding on to.

Imagine that you are in the countryside standing at the entrance to a beautiful fielded park.

As you walk through the entrance you take off your shoes to feel the soft green grass below you.

It feels so soft between your toes as you walk along the grass.

The field is full of cheerful yellow flowers standing tall towards the shining sun.

Breathe in deeply inhaling the cool fresh air.

And as you exhale release any heat from your body.

Above you is a bright blue sky that expands into the distance as the golden sun sits shining filling your body with joy and covering you with a feeling of summer happiness.

You look up to see the tall blooming trees full of thick branches and pink blossom.

As you take gentle steps through the soft grass you feel a flow of relaxation covering your body.

You breathe in the fresh air and as you exhale you feel yourself relaxing deeper and deeper.

You reach the middle of this beautiful field and lay down a soft blanket to sit down on.

Notice your muscles begin to unwind as you sit down on this soft blanket with the grass cushioning the surface below you.

You lay down and look up at the bright sky,

Watching the few fluffy white clouds in the distance drifting past.

Listen to the birds happily singing in the trees and the sound of a calm summer's day.
