Of Lemon Tree!
Hello,
It's Laura Lemon Tree here.
I hope you're ready for some quiet time.
We're going to go on a journey to the beautiful rainforest.
Make sure you check you're feeling comfortable.
Have a look around and check one last time that there's nothing to distract you.
Squiggle and wiggle about.
Let your body feel relaxed,
Heavy and still.
It's time to settle down,
Lay down and gently close your eyes.
First,
You need to think about your breath.
I want you to take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Well done!
You are starting to feel rested and relaxed.
Notice your breath.
Put your hands on your tummy.
Can you feel it moving up?
And can you feel it moving down?
Notice how that feels.
And now one more time.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Good.
You are now feeling relaxed and calm,
Peaceful and relaxed.
Relaxed and calm,
Peaceful and happy.
I want you to think about the sounds of the rainforest.
It's very noisy with lots of chattering birds squeaking and squawking around and making some funny noises.
It makes you smile.
Now we are here.
Let's feel comfortable.
In your mind you are taking off your shoes.
See the leaves on the forest floor.
They are warm and soft.
See the leaves on the forest floor.
They are warm and soft.
Wiggle your toes in the mud.
Squidgey,
Wiggly mud in your toes.
Feeling your body connecting with the earth.
Now imagine you find yourself standing on the leafy green forest floor.
This is the place where our magical journey begins.
Wow,
What an exciting and special place.
Here in the rainforest there are so many bright and colourful things to see.
Have a look.
What can you see?
The air feels really warm and sticky.
It's like a tropical paradise.
The air feels really warm and sticky.
It's like a tropical paradise.
The air feels really warm and sticky.
It's like a tropical paradise.
Now let's think about grounding ourselves.
The big roots of the trees are huge and strong and they hug the ground.
So let's focus the attention on your feet.
As you walk along you hear the soft rhythm of your footsteps.
You are strong and protected as you slowly walk through the trees.
Think about each step.
Think about each step you take on the forest floor.
There are some beautiful little spotted mushrooms,
Tiny creatures and shiny bugs.
Stop for a moment.
Listen.
Stop for a moment.
Listen.
Look.
And enjoy all of the nature around you,
Making sure you don't tread on any little insects.
There is a strong thick vine hanging down you can grab hold of to take you up towards the tree tops.
The branches are all different shapes.
Some of the trees have hairy bark that tickles.
Some are rough and some are smooth.
You are brave and have lots of friends here in the rainforest to guide you and look after you.
You are in a safe place.
The big leaves around you shade and protect you from the rain.
The bright sun shines through and sparkles on the water.
But what other things can you see?
Pink and yellow flowers drape around every branch and fill the air with a beautiful scent.
So let's think about your breath again.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And relax.
Let's consider all the things and think about how happy it makes you feel.
Can you see the lights and can you see the shapes of the shadows?
There are creatures hiding in lots of places.
Can you see any frogs on any leaves?
Or maybe some lovely butterflies fluttering from flower to flower.
If you're really lucky,
You might even spot a larger animal like an elephant looking around in the bushes.
There are funny furry monkeys jumping around and swinging through the trees.
There are birds gliding across the trees and the rain from the sky is plopping and dripping onto the leaves.
It feeds all the incredible plants and animals that work together and look after each other.
You're nearly there.
Look up to the top of the big rainforest umbrella.
See the blue sky and breathe in all of the clean fresh air that our trees give us.
And say thank you for all the beautiful wildlife here on our earth.
As you look down,
You can see everybody working together,
Taking care of each other.
As you carefully come down and return to the ground,
You know how special our natural world is.
As you breathe in the clean warm air,
We are here,
Back on the forest floor.
And you feel restful from your rainforest adventure.
Your body is relaxed and your mind is now still.
You are special and unique,
Loved and cared for.
Well done.
