Connect with each of your senses as you sink into a guided meditation experience. You will be guided to connect with the intuitive nature of each sense as you become more present within the moment and within your body. Meditative music by Christopher Lloyd Clark - Enlightened Audio creates a soothing background for this experience.

Hello,

And welcome to the Listening With Your Senses guided meditation.

I am Laurie Andress,

And I am going to be your guide for this experience.

I want to invite you to find a comfortable position and let yourself just settle in.

I also want to encourage you to do this in an area where you can connect with nature,

Connect with the natural world.

As you find your comfortable position,

I want to invite you to take a nice full breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Wonderful.

Invite your body to just begin to slow down.

Invite your mind to be fully present.

And invite all of your awareness to be right here,

Right now.

Taking another full inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

I want to invite you to begin by connecting with your heart center.

Share with your heart that your intention for this time together is to listen to nature with all of your senses.

Ask your heart to be an ally in this practice so that you may experience each of your senses with love.

Let's begin by closing your eyes and bringing your awareness to the sense of smell.

Notice how you experience this space in this moment.

Perhaps you smell something different than when you initially sat down.

Perhaps you notice something that's incredibly familiar.

What are you smelling?

Wonderful.

Thank your sense of smell.

And then bring your awareness to the sense of sound.

What do you notice as you just tune into the sounds that surround you?

Maybe you hear something within your intuitive sense of sound.

Maybe you hear something within this music.

Or perhaps you hear something outside of this music.

Pay attention.

Listen with love.

Wonderful.

And thank your sense of sound or hearing.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

And let's tune into the sense of taste.

Yes.

Invite the natural world to activate your sense of taste.

And offer your sense of taste some gratitude.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

And let's tune in with the sense of emotion.

What emotion do you notice within yourself?

Invite the natural world to awaken your sense of emotion.

Notice where that sense of emotion lives within your body.

And invite forward a sense of love with regards to whatever emotion is presenting itself today.

Thank the natural world for attuning you to your emotions.

And let's tune in to the natural world around you with your physical sensation.

The sensation of touch.

Often we think of this with our hands.

But I want to invite you to just leave your hands relaxed and in your lap.

And notice as you invite the natural world around you to connect with you through physical sensation,

Physical touch sensation.

What do you experience?

It could be that the wind picks up,

Drops of rainfall,

An insect walks across your leg.

It could be that you have a distinct sensation of yourself holding something quite specific.

Or brushing up against a plant,

Even though you're right in your space.

Simply notice,

Offer gratitude.

Remember,

We're tuning in with our intuitive senses.

Yes.

It's inviting us to connect in a little bit different way.

Take a deep breath.

Offer some love and gratitude to your physical sensation.

And tune into the world around you with your sense of vision.

I want to invite you to begin this with your eyes closed.

And notice how you visually,

How you see with your eyes closed,

The natural world around you.

Wonderful.

And then take a deep breath.

And let yourself open your eyes.

And experience the world around you with your eyes.

It can be easy when we open our eyes and engage with the world around us to want to jump out energetically.

But keep your energy fully present within you.

Allow the natural world to reveal itself to you with your sense of seeing.

Thank it with so much love.

Thank the natural world.

Thank your sense of vision,

Your sense of seeing.

And thank all of you,

All of your senses for showing up today for being present with the natural world in a new and meaningful way.

Know that you can come back to this practice over and over and over again.

Experiencing the world once again in new and meaningful ways.

I wish you an absolutely beautiful day.

Shine brightly,

My friend.
