Transcript

Let's begin by simply making yourself comfortable,

Whether it be laying down or sitting up in a chair,

Wherever you feel most comfortable.

You may choose to allow your eyelids to fold gently closed and just start to simply relax by taking a few slow,

Deep,

Relaxing breaths.

Feeling your body relax each time you exhale.

Taking a deep breath in,

Feeling the belly all the way up and then exhale.

Allow your body to relax and release and again a deep,

Full breath all the way in and exhale,

Release and relax.

Take your mind within or wherever it wants to go and with each breath you may notice your eyelids getting heavier and heavier,

Relaxing even more with each breath.

You may notice your breathing just relaxing you,

Finding a more soothing rhythm as you allow the rest of your body to relax.

I want you to relax your feet,

Relax your ankles,

Your calves and your thighs.

Relax your glutes and your hips and allow them to melt into the chair or the bed underneath you.

I want you to relax your body,

Your shoulder blades,

Your beautiful shoulders.

Soften your chest and allow your arms to feel heavy by your side.

Taking a deep breath in,

Feeling up the belly and exhale,

Release and relax the tummy and again a nice deep breath in and exhale,

Release and relax.

Finding a comfortable and soothing breathing rhythm for you.

Relax your throat,

Relax your neck,

Allow your head to rest gently with your eyes closed.

Soften your eye muscles,

Soften your facial muscles,

Allow your jaw just to hang gently,

Just like a hammock and just breathe.

I'm going to count from one to five,

Relaxing even deeper with each number I say.

One,

Relaxing deeper,

Deeper down,

Two,

Even deeper down now,

More peaceful,

More relaxed.

That's right.

Just relaxing all the way down.

Feels just now becoming loose,

Limp and lazy.

Three,

Relaxing more and more.

Four,

Every breath you exhale,

Helping to guide you deeper and deeper down.

And five,

Relaxing in perfect balance,

Perfect alignment,

Every natural breath helping to guide you even deeper down.

I don't know just when the last time was that you spent time laying or sitting quietly with your eyes closed,

Drifting off to no place in particular.

There is no right or wrong way to relax.

Everyone has their own pathway in.

Your subconscious mind can make whatever adjustments you need to make.

Psychological,

Emotional,

Psychological or any other adjustments.

You can change any words I say that aren't right for you or into other words that are right for you or just simply tune them out.

Maybe just maybe you may be aware of contact with your chair or your bed or wherever you are comfortably resting.

I don't know if you've noticed,

You're breathing slowly and if you can do all that,

You just get deeper signs of comfort and relaxing.

You may be aware of different sensations in your body,

Thoughts in your mind as you relax deeper and deeper to a deeper level of comfort.

And each time you exhale,

You may notice yourself going deeper into relaxation,

Every natural breath carrying you deeper and deeper down.

As you relax,

Sinking deeper and deeper,

Keep taking slow relaxing breaths in and out as you become more peaceful and more calm and tranquil throughout your entire mind and body.

Mind becoming blank,

Empty,

Ready to relax and listen to my voice.

As you go deeper and deeper,

Shoulders loosening,

Falling,

Relaxing.

And those gentle steady breaths remind you of how you can ignore everything as you settle down to let your mind drift away,

Dreamy,

Floaty,

Drifting,

Enjoying the release.

Everything settling more and more comfortably.

Allow your whole body to relax,

Everything relax,

Knowing that you could but can't be bothered to do anything but breathe and relax.

Body feeling heavier and heavier as you continue to take slow deep relaxing breaths,

Arms feeling heavier and heavier,

Body feeling so heavy it melts into where you are resting,

Legs feeling so heavy now,

Allowing this feeling of rest and heaviness,

This feeling of complete comfort,

Relax your body and mind.

Allow these words to find that place deep in your inner mind to create changes you desire.

I allow these words to become my words.

I allow these thoughts to become my thoughts.

I allow these feelings to become my feelings.

I allow the sound of these words to enter into the deepest part of my mind,

Creating this change I want and need.

As you continue to relax and just allow your body to relax deeper and deeper,

More and more calm,

More and more peaceful and sooner or later,

I don't know just when but you will feel completely relaxed.

Notice the rhythm of your breathing,

Each breath in and each relaxing breath out,

Body relaxing with each soothing breath.

People like yourself realise that change happens all the time.

We never stay exactly the same,

Do we?

Take a moment to think about yourself and how you are different now than who you were a decade ago or even two decades ago.

People change all the time,

Every day our body changes,

Even our cells continue to change,

Especially from when we are a child to a teenager then to an adult.

This happens without us really noticing or knowing,

It just happens and this makes it normal and natural.

We all change,

Sometimes every day,

The way we wear our hair,

The way we dress,

How we may go to work,

Even the work we do,

The way we speak or even relate to others can change.

This means you can change in ways that are beneficial to you,

The way you see yourself and the way you feel about yourself,

All able to change so easily so you can see yourself differently,

More confidently the way you want to be.

And I wonder what it may be like to pretend you are a confident person.

Imagine what you would do,

How you would walk,

How you may speak,

The way you see others,

The way others may see you.

And I'm sure you have heard the term,

Fake it until you make it.

And I wonder how this line came about.

Maybe from a person that needed to fake their self confidence until it became true.

Because as we all know,

We can only truly be confident in our self when we believe it to be true.

I am wondering when the last time was you felt really confident about yourself.

Imagine when we are very young,

We have considerable confidence.

When we start to walk we feel invincible.

We stumble and fall before standing,

Standing confidently and walking independently.

And I am sure there was a time you could not tie your shoelaces and struggled with the difficulty.

Yet you continued to try and eventually now you can tie shoes easily and automatically.

Perhaps when learning to drive a car you struggled with confidence.

So many things.

So many things to remember.

The feeling you could never succeed and now you drive confidently and competently,

Developing self confidence in many things you do.

There was a time when you couldn't.

Think what you could do in the future if you haven't let go of the past.

You can't live in the present or go into the future.

When young we often felt we could never learn to read.

It is extremely challenging yet through persistence you succeed again.

So many times throughout our lives we struggle with self belief yet so many times you have conquered these self doubt feelings and achieved the only thing that is actually stable is change.

And there are and always will be change.

Night and day.

The seasons.

The clouds across the sky.

Time.

Ageing.

The tide.

You can't stop change.

You can't but change.

The best way to predict your future is to create it.

Can you remember a time you felt confident?

Perhaps it was at a party.

A celebration.

An award.

A win.

When you felt confident,

Acted confidently,

Spoke confidently,

Looked confident.

I would like you to focus on this time.

A time you felt great and confident.

See yourself where you were.

How that felt.

How you managed to achieve this moment.

This is how you may want to feel again.

This is what you deserve to feel again.

Search those memories.

Bring them forward.

Feel what it was you felt all those times.

The saying,

When you think you can,

You can.

Applies to all of us.

Any self doubt strips away that ability we already have.

That we have now.

And as you sit comfortably,

Relaxing deeper and deeper,

Permit your confidence to rise.

The new confidence within you to grow.

Leaving behind those old doubts,

Knowing you do have ability,

You can be a confident person again.

Begin to allow that feeling of confidence to grow more and more.

In the days and weeks ahead,

You find your confidence is growing.

You become happier,

More confident in yourself and this is so.

Now you no longer care what others may or may not think.

You know who you are.

Your ability.

Your person.

You have changed.

Your confidence continues to grow.

Your self confidence is growing every day.

You hear only the confident messages your mind provides you.

No longer listening to any self doubt as these messages did not come from you.

You are in control.

You are continuing to change every day.

This means your confidence is rising and giving you a confident outlook.

Your life is changing.

Becoming stronger,

Clearer,

More focused.

You look forward to the possibilities available to you and that you will create for yourself.

Even if others used to say or do say things about you that may be wrong,

You no longer believe these people as they really do not know you.

Perhaps they are jealous of the fine person you are,

The abilities you have.

They simply act in a negative way because they have the problem.

You no longer play this game.

You no longer allow this to affect you.

So you have control over you.

You no longer allow anyone to control you.

You have your opinion because you know you.

They do not.

And as you relax,

Sinking deeper and deeper,

My words penetrating into the deepest part of your subconscious mind,

Allowing these positive changes to happen.

You deserve it.

You can forgive yourself for believing these fallacies about yourself.

You are learning.

Know who you are,

What you can truly be and who you can be.

When out in any social or work situation,

You now always find the right words to use.

You feel and appear confident.

You care about others and as you inquire about them,

You learn the best way for people to like you is to be interested in them.

What they are doing,

What they are thinking.

This can make you very popular with others.

It provides confidence within you as others want to talk to you as you listen and inquire about them.

You are confident in these situations.

If someone has an opinion of you that you may not like,

That is fine.

They simply do not yet know you.

You can then choose to have them know you or not.

The choice is yours.

Not everyone will know us properly.

Not every opinion is worth a consideration.

Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and beliefs.

We don't mind is sometimes where they get it wrong.

After all,

We know no one is perfect all the time.

Not even us all the time and that is fine.

Absolutely really fine.

I would like to imagine yourself in a social situation.

Perhaps a party,

Social gathering or even a workplace situation.

Some of the people may know you,

Others do not.

You enter the room or the event.

You are dressed exactly the way you need to be.

You look great.

You hold yourself up,

Head high,

Body posture confident.

You smile as needed.

Respond courteously.

Say the right things.

You are in control of yourself.

See yourself there.

Hear yourself speak.

Feel the way you move with such confidence and know your smile is received warmly.

Experience that feeling of confidence.

The more you feel this,

The more often you feel this.

This feeling becomes more natural to you because you are developing the confidence to get this feeling more and more.

You are in control over how you feel.

These words burn into your mind and memory.

Always there to remind you of how you have changed,

Grown,

Developed into this wonderful confident person you now are.

You are accepted.

Accepted by others.

Accepted by yourself.

You feel lighter,

Happier,

Clearer and more focused.

Like that cloud of weight is now gone,

You feel lighter,

Freer to be who you really are.

The real you,

Believing in yourself,

Ready to take whatever step you want in your life because you can.

Something has changed deep within you.

The confidence you wanted is growing more every day.

You are confident in all social situations.

You know how to approach others,

Speak to others,

What they want and need from you,

Your attention,

Your enquiry as to them.

You show confidence in the way you look,

The way you speak,

The way you stand and walk.

The way you dress.

The smile on your face eludes confidence and friendliness.

The warmth you show is infectious.

Others like you and like being around you.

You choose to spend time with them or not.

You feel stronger,

More powerful within yourself.

Different.

Something has changed today.

You have rediscovered the real you.

The person is confident.

The person who is strong.

The person who is friendly.

The person who is noticed.

You look different to them now.

When you wake each morning,

You feel bright,

Filled with life and possibilities.

You glance in the mirror to see a confident person smile on your face.

Seeing that confident person smiling back at you.

Ready for your new day ahead.

You carry this feeling every day.

You can feel relaxed,

Comfortable and confident in every situation.

You know you have a choice.

You can choose how you feel.

And you always feel comfortable and confident now.

As you sleep tonight and every night,

These suggestions will continue to have a deep and profound effect within you.

Developing more confidence every night as you sleep.

And when you wake,

You will feel great.

With a wonderful new feeling of acceptance and confidence within you.

In a moment,

I will count to three.

And when I get to three,

Your eyes will open.

You will feel re-energized,

Refreshed and calm.

Focused on the changes you have made today.

Feeling wonderful and confident now,

Always and forever.

One,

Two,

Three.

Eyes open,

Ready to start your new day,

New week,

New life.

And happy.
