You're listening to the Motherhood Unsressed podcast,
And I'm your host Liz Carlyle.
Thank you so much for tuning in,
For taking the time for yourself today.
And no matter what time of day you do this meditation,
My hope is that it enables you to connect to your heart,
To the divine within you,
And that's all around you and others.
My hope is that it helps you shift to a higher vibration,
One of love,
Acceptance,
Hope,
And joy.
So get settled.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Since this is one for deep relaxation,
You might want to lie down flat on your back,
With your arms resting at your sides,
Palms facing up.
Or if you're more comfortable in a seated position,
Find yourself there now.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Feeling yourself start to relax with every breath.
Let go of any tension in your body,
And allow yourself to sink deeper into the bed or the mat with each breath.
Let's take another deep breath in together through the nose,
And out through the mouth.
Deep breath in,
And out.
Focus on filling your belly.
You could even place a hand on your belly,
So that your breath isn't up in your throat.
It isn't up in your shoulders and your chest,
But deep,
Deep,
Deep in your torso.
Let everything go.
Push.
As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,
Allow your mind to clear of any thoughts or worries.
Imagine a peaceful and calming scene,
Like a beautiful beach or a quiet forest.
Picture yourself surrounded by this peaceful scene,
Feeling safe,
Secure,
And at peace.
Imagine what it sounds like.
Imagine a breeze,
Just slightly cool across your face.
What do you hear?
What do you see?
What do you smell?
Fully immerse yourself in your imagination until your body can't tell the difference,
And you truly feel at home and at peace.
Now bring your focus back to your breath.
Again,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Counting to four,
And exhale through your mouth,
Counting to six.
Breathe in peace and calm,
And breathe out any stress or tension that you may be feeling still in this moment.
Repeat at your own pace.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Begin to repeat positive affirmations to yourself silently.
You can say things like,
I am calm,
I am at peace,
I release all worries,
And I am safe and protected.
Allow these affirmations to wash over you,
Filling you with a sense of calm and security.
Keep breathing,
Sink in deeper to the knowing that you are safe,
That you are protected,
That you are calm,
That you are at peace.
Bring your attention back to your body,
Starting at the top of your head.
Visualize a warm golden light washing over your body,
Melting away any tension or discomfort you may be feeling.
Feel this warm light spreading down through your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Chest,
Back,
Hips,
Legs,
And feet,
Filling every part of your body,
Every cell with relaxation and calm and health.
As you sink deeper into relaxation,
Focus once again on your breath.
Imagine a beautiful,
Calming color like blue or green.
As you inhale,
Visualize this color filling your lungs and spreading throughout your body,
Bringing peace and calm,
Alkalinity.
As you exhale,
Imagine any negative thoughts or emotions,
Trauma,
Pain,
Leaving your body,
Carried away on your breath,
Out the window and away into the ether.
As you round out this meditation,
Whether you're drifting off to sleep or getting fully connected to who you are,
Remind yourself of the benefits of this work.
Remember that connection to your soul is essential for your overall health and well-being,
And that by getting into a state like this of truly deep relaxation and knowing of your true internal power,
You are setting yourself up for a life of happiness and energy and positivity and vigor.
This truly is the fountain of youth.
What you're doing now,
Revitalizing every cell with every breath and positive intention.
Take one final deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Allow yourself to fully relax in this position for as long as you need.
Know that you are safe,
Secure,
And protected now and forever.
Thank you for doing the work.
Until next time,
Namaste.
