For taking this intentional time for rest and relaxation,
To soothe your body from within and talk to every cell so that all of you who's on the same team providing you with a foundation of peace and calm so that you can go to sleep and heal and detox and just get the best sleep that you deserve.
This guided meditation is for full body relaxation and restful sleep during stressful times.
So if you're ready,
Find a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down in bed and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Let's begin.
Start by bringing your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.
Feel the coolness of the air as you breathe in through your nose and the warmth as you breathe out.
Allow your breath to guide you into a state of deep relaxation.
Now as you settle more into your body,
Aware of your breath and its rhythm,
I want you to bring your awareness to your feet.
Visualize a warm golden light gently enveloping your feet,
Soothing any tension or discomfort.
As you inhale,
Imagine drawing in relaxation and peace with each breath.
As you exhale,
Release any tension or stress through your feet and out of the room,
Letting it dissipate into the ground,
Past the foundation and into the earth.
Let alchemy exist in your body.
Let it cleanse you from within.
Now let this relaxation travel up through your ankles,
Calves and knees.
Feel the muscles in your legs soften and loosen with each breath.
Picture any heaviness or tightness melting away,
Leaving you feeling light and at ease.
Now direct your attention to your pelvis and lower back.
Picture if you will,
A gentle wave of relaxation moving through this area,
Releasing any stored tension.
Imagine your body sinking into a comfortable surface,
Fully supported and relaxed,
At peace and at home.
Inhale deeply and as you exhale,
Intentionally soften your jaw,
Unclench your teeth and release any tension in your face and neck.
Imagine a warm,
Soothing sensation spreading through your facial muscles,
Melting away any stress and maybe for the first time today,
Experience the feeling of peace,
Being at home in your body and being happy to be there.
Bring your awareness to your shoulders and allow them to drop,
Letting go of any burdens or worries you may be carrying.
Feel a sense of lightness and freedom as that tension melts away.
Take a moment to release any thoughts or concerns that may be on your mind.
They don't matter at this time and place.
This is your time for deep relaxation.
And if the thoughts creep up,
Thank them and let them pass like clouds in the sky,
Away from you in this moment.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Shift your focus to your arms and hands.
Imagine a gentle breeze passing through them,
Bringing a sense of calm and tranquility.
Notice any sensations in your fingertips,
Allowing yourself to fully experience the present moment.
You might even feel the energy swirling in your palms or fingertips,
The energy that life force is always with you.
You're just now taking the time to fully be aware and to send love to that magical energy within you.
Now bring your attention to your chest and heart.
As you breathe in,
Envision your heart filling with love and compassion.
With each exhale,
Release any emotional weight or stress that may be weighing you down,
Closing off your heart.
Feel your chest expand and contract with ease as you breathe deeply and open your heart with golden white light.
Finally,
Turn your attention to your head.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light slowly spreading through your scalp,
Relaxing the muscles in your forehead,
Temples,
And the back of your head.
Allow any thoughts or worries to float away,
Leaving you with a sense of deep and knowing tranquility.
Remember this peace that you're feeling now,
And know that you can come back to it at any time in your day just by focusing on your breath.
Take a moment now to appreciate the state of relaxation that you've cultivated throughout your entire body.
You've done this.
You're now ready for a restful sleep.
Allow yourself to surrender to the peaceful sensations within you.
In your own time,
Gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes,
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry this sense of relaxation with you as you move through the rest of your day,
Or if you're drifting off for sleep.
