Welcome.
In this meditation you will have the opportunity to meet and be with your future self.
Take a moment to get settled wherever you are.
Settle your body into a comfortable meditation posture.
Sit up through the spine,
Soften your shoulders,
Relax your face.
Then you can go ahead and close your eyes.
Tune into the feeling of your breathing,
The feeling of your aliveness and your presence here.
Simply be with yourself for these first few moments.
Whenever you get distracted,
Which is completely normal,
You can keep returning back to this starting point of simply being with yourself and being with your breath.
Notice the inhales coming in,
The exhales traveling out.
Maintaining this same presence and focus,
You can begin to in your mind's eye invite your future self to join you where you are right now.
You can start to see the physical form of your future self materialize in front of you.
See them sitting right in front of you.
You can start to fill in all of the details of what they look like here.
Look into their eyes.
Look at their face.
See what they're wearing.
Take in all of the details you can of them here.
As you look at,
As you examine your future self,
Realize that they are another version of you.
That they exist sometime in the future.
And that they're the same as you,
But they have figured out everything that you're grappling with right now.
They have been able to overcome any challenges you're going through right now.
They have been able to become fully realized in themselves.
Keep looking at your future self with curiosity and wonder.
And now look even deeper into who they are and start to see all of the great qualities that they embody.
You can name to yourself,
Each quality that you're able to see in them.
Maybe you're able to see love or wisdom,
Or any other qualities that you can see here.
Take the time to name each and every positive quality.
Once you have named every quality you can see in them,
Choose one that stands out the most to you,
That feels the strongest.
Maybe choose the one that is the most inspiring to you.
Once you have chosen their one strongest quality,
Reflect on your own life,
Maybe the last week or so,
And see if you can choose or pick out one time that you already embodied that quality,
Or maybe you began to embody that quality.
Choose a time in your memory where that quality was already showing up.
Now you can commit to yourself,
Decide with yourself that you'll continue to use this quality.
Maybe try within the next week,
The week coming up,
To embody this quality in one moment,
Just one time,
Maybe in one interaction,
In one situation.
Visualize yourself in the world,
Embodying using this quality to do something good or positive,
To help someone.
Now you can return back to your future self sitting in front of you and thank them for coming here to sit with you today.
You can give them a hug or gift,
Whatever you like.
Now you can ask them if they'll stay with you,
If they'll stay close by to always help you,
To always guide you,
And to always remind you of those good qualities inside of yourself.
Your future self happily agrees to stay close by,
And you can see them in your mind's eye shrink down to the size of a tiny pearl that then floats up to the top of your head,
Nestles into the crown where it transforms into a pure white light that flows down the spine and finally rests right in the center of your chest.
Feel into your heart.
Feel all of those good qualities that your future self contains right in the center of your heart.
You can take a few deep breaths there.
If you like,
You can place a hand on your heart,
Gently coming back to the physical body.
And then come back to the breath.
Become aware of the inhales and the exhales flowing in and out of your body.
Give yourself a few more moments here.
And then when you're ready,
You can gently bring yourself back,
Blink the eyes open.
Move,
Do whatever you need to do.
And as you go into the rest of your day,
Know that your future self is always there for you,
Can always return to them.
They're right there with you,
Right in the center of your heart.
