In this meditation you'll be able to get advice on some question you have right now.
Maybe you have a doubt,
A hard decision,
Maybe there's some challenge or obstacle that you're facing.
Whatever it is,
Have that one thing in mind for this meditation and bring it with you into your practice today.
Once you're ready,
You can go ahead and find your comfortable meditation posture and close your eyes.
Sit up tall through the spine,
Soften your shoulders down and back and reach up through the crown of your head.
Just take a few moments to get settled in the body and then you can find your breath.
Go to the tip of your nose and feel the inhales and the exhales there.
You can keep coming back to this point,
Keep coming back to the tip of the nose and to your breath whenever you need to come back to your anchor,
To your point of focus.
Keeping this focus with you,
You can invite in your future self to be with you here.
In your mind's eyes,
Start to see your future self start to walk towards you.
See the way their body moves,
See any clothing they're wearing,
The shape of their outline.
As they get closer,
You can see more details,
Their face,
Their hair.
And then see them sit down right in front of you.
They take the same meditation posture right in front of you.
You sit looking into each other's eyes,
Take a moment to greet your future self,
Maybe take their hands,
Give them a hug.
If you like,
You can also imagine giving them a small gift,
A token of their gratitude for being here with you right now.
You may offer them a single flower,
Maybe something to drink,
Maybe a diamond,
Maybe something sentimental to them.
Now you can begin to share with your future self that one thing that's on your mind,
That one thing that you brought with you today.
Your doubt,
Your question,
Your fork in the road,
That challenge that you don't know how to get through.
Whatever it is,
You can discuss it,
Explain it to them here.
As you tell your future self all about your challenge,
You can start to understand that your future self has already been through this.
They remember this moment that you're going through right now.
They remember what it felt like.
And most importantly,
They experience what happened afterwards.
They saw the other side of this challenge that you're facing right now.
Your future self smiles knowingly.
They have that spark of knowing,
Of wisdom in their eye.
And now you can sit back and listen.
Listen to any advice that they have for you here,
Anything that comes up.
Allow yourself to listen to what arises.
You don't need to force any answer here.
Just see what comes up.
Listen for some wisdom that will help you right now.
Or maybe it's just a spark of wisdom.
Maybe it's just a single word.
Or maybe it's just the way that they're saying whatever they're saying.
Soak up anything you can from this being in front of you.
You can take a few more moments here,
Gazing at your future self,
Admiring them,
Seeing how far they've come.
Bask in their presence.
And then ask them if they'll stay with you as you go through whatever you're going through right now.
Your future self says,
Of course,
I am always here to offer advice,
To offer help.
You can see your future self shrink down to the size of a tiny pearl right in front of your eyes.
You can see your future self float up to the crown of your head,
Where they transform into a pure white light that flows down your spine.
And finally rests right in the center of your heart.
Feel them there in your heart.
Feel their presence.
Know that you can return to this place whenever you need to,
Whenever you need that advice and guidance.
Take a few more moments here and feel good about what you just did,
What you just created in your mind.
Maybe feel a tiny smile come to the corner of your,
Of your mouth.
And then as you're ready,
You can slowly come back to the physical sensations of the body,
Return back to the tip of the nose and feel your breath coming in and out.
Take a few more deep breaths.
Feel your fingers,
Your toes.
And then when you're ready,
You can blink the eyes open and come back.
