Take a walk in the forest, hear the sounds of birds. Feel the peace in and around you and give yourself time to relax. End your walk in the forest as you lie down in a field and feel the sun on your face. Leave this meditation feeling relaxed and energised.

Transcript

The aim of this meditation is to help you relax.

So take a moment,

Find a comfortable position.

It could be in a chair,

Lying down,

Standing up or you could go walking.

Just make sure that you're safe if you use this as a walking meditation.

Now once you're in that comfortable position just wiggle your toes a little,

Just feel them and feel your feet and we're going to move up the body and just feeling your ankles and just feel your calves and the front of your calves,

Your shins,

Your knees and just feel that relax from the knee down as you take in a breath and just normal breathing.

Just feel the bottom half of your legs relax and all the way down to your foot and your toes and now moving up to your thigh and your bum and stomach and your chest and your back.

Just feel it all relax and and any stress that you're holding just let your body relax and calm.

Now your shoulders and the top of your arms,

Your elbows,

Your lower arms,

Hands and fingers and as you breathe in and breathe out just feel all of that relax,

Each part of your body,

Each cell,

All your organs,

Relaxing your skin,

All of your body with each breath you just relax further and deeper into the meditation.

Now relaxing your neck and your cheeks and your chin and your jaw and teeth and nose and eyes and forehead and the top of your head and the back of your head and all the way down your neck again and feeling your shoulders,

Your head everywhere relax your whole body it's just relaxed and you're just sitting in a nice deep comfortable place and if you need to move,

Move whatever feels right for you and now just take a lovely deep breath in just feeling that air fill your body just big breaths as deep as you can into your lungs and push it all the way into your belly and then breathing out and doing this in your own time as you take another deep breath in filling your lungs just feeling the air in your body and then breathing out and then just take one more deep breath in just feel it relax just feel all that air go through your body into every cell and then breathing out again.

Okay so I want you to imagine that you're sitting in front of a fire you're you're in a cabin in a place that feels safe it might be somewhere you've seen before it might be just somewhere in your imagination and you're just sitting in a chair in front of the fire and you can feel it's warmth it's not too hot it's not too cold it's just perfect for where you are now and it's relaxing you can hear the fire crackle and you watch the flames for a moment and this place feels safe and comfortable it's the place that you can come back to when you want to just revisit just feeling relaxed and calm and it's your place no one else comes to this place this is just your special place so just take a moment to sit and watch the fire or to feel it or to hear it crackle to feel those flames and just feel yourself relax even further and now we're going to go through a door and you walk through the door and out into the forest and it doesn't matter if you shut the door or not shut the door or if you can see a door or not you're just moving through now into the forest and under your feet it's dark mud but it's dry so it's not slippery it's just really comfortable to walk on and you can smell it as you continue to walk along this pathway and on the side of the pathway are trees and it's not deep or dark it's just lovely green trees that are old and that just make you feel calm and relaxed and the air around you is cool but not too brisk and you keep walking and seeing these beautiful trees just on the other side each side of the path and the trees are shaking a little in the wind there's this beautiful wind and a little bit of birdsong in the trees and if you look up you can see the trees reach to the blue blue sky above and there is tiny light of Sun shining through those leaves but most of it is covered and it's dark because the Sun can't reach down to where you are but it's not too dark you can see it's comfortable it's cool and you just continue to walk further and further through this forest hearing the birds smelling that beautiful fresh air and you breathe it in and take some time just to walk into the forest and along this path and discover it how you want to discover it and just feel how calm it makes you how comfortable you feel how safe and just take a moment and discover and just continue to walk the path or discover touching the trees and the bark on the trees and feel how rough they are underneath your fingers whatever feels right for you you and you walk deeper and deeper into the forest and the trees are getting denser and denser and the light it's just a little darker but you can still see comfortably and your foot is nice and safe underneath so you're walking calmly but as you walk deeper and deeper into the forest you can hear that really quiet sound just the trees rustling in the wind the very light wind and that gentle breeze and it's cool and it's just lovely and the further you walk the more relaxed and calmer you feel and you keep walking further and further along this beautiful path seeing different trees and flowers blooming along near the trees it's just lovely lush and green as you walk further into this beautiful forest and I want you to stretch your hearing and just stretch and hear in the forest you can hear the sound of trickling water in the background and the sound of birds only a few in the trees mostly you can just hear the sound of your heartbeat the sound of your breath your sigh as you relax further and further and walk deeper and deeper into this beautiful forest and it just gets a little thicker and a little darker as you walk further and now as you walk you can see a little faint sunlight above up ahead and it's further along on the path and you're walking towards this this dapple of sunlight that you can see and as you get closer and closer it gets brighter and brighter and you can see it's the end of this path and there's something beyond beautiful sunny something beyond and you're working towards it and getting closer and closer and it's this beautiful bright sunlight at the end of the path and the trees widen and as you continue to walk towards this this beautiful light this sunlight you notice that there's a beautiful green field beyond it's just nice cut grass and there's nothing around but this beautiful green and the sunlight that's coming and shining on it and you walk out the forest out of the trees that are behind you and into this grass and you can feel it under your feet and it's lush and it's beautiful and you can smell that smell of grass and it's relaxing and calming and you decide to lie down lie down in this beautiful grass that's soft and cushions you underneath it's like lying on a cloud and you lie with your face up to the Sun and it's bright but not too bright and you feel the Sun warm your skin it's not hot just warms it and energize it and you feel it can energize every cell in your body and it just wakes up all those cells and just brings that calm and that energy just back into your body and your face is just alive and you feel happy and joyous just lying here on this soft cloud like grass and just take a moment to feel that beautiful Sun beating on your face and your body and the grass just supporting you behind on your back and you just feel that earth coming up just to to really support you and just have your back and you feel rested and calm but every cell is is coming alive in such a beautiful way so take a moment and just feel that and just enjoy you maybe you feel sleepy from the Sun maybe you feel really awake and alive whatever it is it's the right moment and feeling for you so just enjoy the calm and enjoy the relaxation for a couple of minutes you you and I want you to now just get up shake yourself off for a little bit I'm gonna come back through the forest you still feel that beautiful energy of aliveness the calm and we're just gonna walk back along this field and you come to the beautiful path in the forest the trees and you step onto the path and you walk along and those beautiful trees you're bringing that calm back with you that energy from the Sun as we walk closer and closer and you can see the door to your cabin or or broom and it's open and you get closer and closer and you step through the door into the room see the fire and you sit on the chair in front of the fire and just take a moment this beautiful room that's yours that's yours alone and as you do you can start to feel your feet and you can give them a wiggle and you feel yourself coming back into your body and just feel your fingers and give them a wiggle and feel where your body is touching the ground whether it's your feet or your bum or your whole body if you're lying down and just feel how heavy it is and the bits where it touches whatever it is that you're leaning on or standing on and you feel yourself come back into your body and when you're ready open your eyes take a nice breath and just feel yourself back bringing back that calm that energy and those beautiful feelings for you I hope you enjoyed this meditation you
