I want you to take three big deep breaths in,
Breathing into your lungs and your stomach and when you exhale,
Breathing out as much air as possible.
And now imagine yourself at a big beautiful dark lake.
It's peaceful,
There's no one else around.
It's one of the most calming places you've seen.
And in front of you is a little boat.
I want you to step into the boat.
It's a beautiful white boat on the black dark lake that's safe and calming.
And as you sit down in the boat,
You can feel it just rocking lightly back and forth.
And the boat takes you out into the middle of the lake.
Just a safe calm place to be,
Nothing else around.
You can feel the sun and see the blue sky.
And as you make your way out in this beautiful boat,
Rocking back and forth,
You put your hand in your pocket and notice that there is a stone in there.
And you put your hand around the stone and bring it out and you look at it.
And it's a smooth stone,
Smoothed by oceans and water.
And that stone represents all the stress and anxiety and worry and fears and doubts.
It's a big stone,
But you find it easy to carry.
And I want you to throw that stone or drop it into the lake,
Which ever feels right.
And as you do,
Feel all those doubts and anxieties and worries and stress and fear.
Just leave your body as the stone drops into the water.
Now you're sitting on the lake in this beautiful boat,
Just rocking you back and forth.
And the boat makes its way back to shore,
Leaving all your anxieties and fears and worries and doubts behind you.
You can see the shore in front of you.
You make your way safely to the edge of the lake and you step out of the boat and back onto the shore.
And you look back at that beautiful calm lake and just take a big deep breath in and just enjoy the moment of peace and calm,
That crystal clear lake.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and come back into the room,
Back into your body,
Feel your feet on the floor.
