This meditation can be used once a year or whenever you want to break ties with someone.
Don't worry if you can't bring yourself to cut the ties during the meditation.
Maybe it isn't time for you yet.
Maybe you just don't want to.
Everything is okay.
It is your journey.
Trust yourself.
Send love down the strands.
Now find somewhere comfortable to sit.
It can be a chair,
Cross-legged,
As long as you're comfortable.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
As you exhale,
Let all the thoughts and stress of the day,
Week,
Month,
Year,
Be expelled with that breath.
Now take another.
Let yourself go deeper with each breath.
Relax.
Another deep breath.
Exhale.
Now you're going to take another breath.
Let it fill your diaphragm,
Your stomach.
Fill your stomach.
Push out.
Hold.
Now exhale.
Push all the air out.
Now again.
Breathe in.
Hold out.
Once more.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Exhale out.
Now feel your feet.
Relax.
Feel your toes relax.
We're going to work all the way up your body and relax every part.
Feel the bottom of your feet relax,
Your ankles,
Now the top of your feet.
Your whole foot is relaxed.
Your shin,
The back of your legs,
Your knees,
The top of your thigh,
The back of your thigh,
Your whole leg relaxing.
Your bum,
Lower and upper back,
Your shoulders,
Your stomach,
Chest and all your organs.
Feel them relax.
Now feel your shoulders relax,
The top of your arms,
Elbows,
All the stress coming out your body,
Down your forearm,
Into your hands and out through your fingers.
Energy into the universe.
Feel your neck relax,
The back of your head,
Now the top of your head.
You might feel a slight tingle.
If you do,
That's okay.
Your forehead,
Your eyes and nose.
Feel your cheeks relax and your mouth.
Feel your jaw and your neck again.
Your whole body feels relaxed.
Now think about the person you want to cut ties with.
Imagine the strands that connect the two of you around your body.
They might come from different parts of your body and they'll connect.
Some will be thin and some will be thick.
These strands are created over time.
They're just energy connections.
Using them will not mean that you won't see this person again or that you don't love them.
It's just creating that energy,
Creating a new energy and healthier loving relationships.
So imagine a pair of scissors or a knife,
Something that will help you cut those strands.
So cut them around your body,
Sending love down them as you cut them.
If there's a strand that's a bit thicker,
Then spend the time cutting it.
Or if you decide that you don't want to,
Just relax and imagine a silver white light around your body as you float.
So take the time,
Cut the strands and send love down them.
Now imagine a silver light around your body.
Take a moment to bathe in that light.
It's the light of the universe.
It's supporting you,
Loving you,
Protecting you.
If you're imagining a different light,
That's okay.
Just imagine it around your body and it allows those strands to come back and that energy to come back into your body.
Filling you with more energy and love.
Breathe in that energy.
Breathe in that love.
Let it fill your heart.
The universe is sending you all the love that it can.
Stay there for a moment and feel that love breathing in and out,
The feeling having enter all parts of your body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Give yourself a moment to readjust.
Take stock.
How do you feel?
Do you feel lighter?
Does that relationship with the person feel easier?
Do you have more energy?
Just take a moment to notice what you notice.
You may want to do this meditation again.
Give it a couple of days before you do.
It won't hurt your relationship with that person.
Just always sending love.
Now go into your day or evening with light and love.
