Welcome to this inner child healing meditation.
A lot of the experiences that we encounter as a child,
The words we hear,
The things we see,
The things we are told often impact how we see ourselves and the world around us today.
This meditation enables you to offer love,
Healing,
Presence and reassurance to your inner child so that you can begin to release the weight of those experiences to take a moment to come and find a comfortable seat ensuring that the spine is tall and the shoulders are softening and relaxed.
Take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
These cleansing breaths bringing you into this practice as you gently allow the eyes to close as you begin to open your eyes beginning to turn your awareness inwards.
Feel the support of the earth beneath you,
Supportive,
Grounding and holding you in safety.
With each breath allow tension to melt away softening the face,
The shoulders,
The belly.
As your breath settles into its own rhythm imagine a warm golden light surrounding you bringing a sense of comfort and protection.
Begin to visualize a path ahead of you.
This path leads you to a place where your inner child is waiting.
As you walk along the path notice the surroundings perhaps it is a familiar place from your childhood or a peaceful safe space.
It's taking a moment to notice what surrounds you.
When you arrive you see your younger self becoming clearer.
Take a moment to notice what age your younger self is perhaps even noticing the clothes they wear and gently approach them letting them know that you are here with love and kindness.
As you observe your inner child notice how do they feel,
What is it that they need?
If it feels right you might sit with them,
Hold their hand or offer a warm embrace.
Be mindful of your energy and the quality of touch that you may offer.
Speak words of love and reassurance.
You are safe,
You are deeply loved just as you are.
I see you,
I hear you and I am here for you.
Offer your presence with compassion and reassurance.
Imagine wrapping your inner child in a soft radiant light filling them with love and strength.
Let them know that they are always a part of you and you will continue to care for them,
To be there for them.
If it feels right invite them to take your hand and walk with you.
You might choose to skip or dance or simply sit together.
Allow yourself to absorb that childlike wonder that they represent.
Integrating their joy and playfulness into your present self.
Take a moment to offer words of gratitude to your younger self and to reassure them that you are there.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Feeling this bond of love and connection between you and within you.
Slowly begin to bring awareness back to your body.
Wiggling your fingers,
Wiggling your toes.
Sensing the ground beneath you and the air around you.
When you are ready gently open your eyes.
Carrying this renewed sense of wholeness with you.
Filled with gratitude for yourself,
For your inner child and for this time for healing.
