Transcript

Good morning beautiful one.

Pause with me and place your hands on your heart space.

You might soften or close your eyes if that's safe and okay for you to do so now.

And feel your heart beating.

Feel the rhythm of the breath inviting you to be right here.

So often we go rushing into our day and already at the beginning of the day we're carrying everyone else's needs.

And so this is an opportunity to be right here remembering that you too are worthy of beginning your day with clarity,

Care,

Kindness,

And love.

So your heart knows what you desire.

It knows how you long to be living.

It often whispers,

Slower,

Softer,

Kinder.

It glows each time you pause with intention to breathe.

Each time you remember what matters most.

Each time you you tune into it throughout your day.

So today let's awaken this glow within you.

This soft flame that's steady and guides you.

This is your moment to breathe into joy which lifts the fog or the numbingness of distraction.

And it helps you to align your life with what matters most to you.

Or as I say,

It helps you to lead a life that you deeply love.

So let's do this heart glow practice together first.

Place both hands again on your chest and imagine a soft golden light pulsing here.

And with each inhale,

Feel that light expanding.

Warm,

Steady,

And alive.

And with each exhale,

Imagine it softening,

Settling into every cell of your body.

A soft golden light.

On inhale it expands.

And on exhale it softens into every cell in your body.

Notice what's happening already to you.

What shift is already here in you.

As we then go into the breath of joy.

I'd like to show you this practice,

The breath of joy.

And so I would suggest standing or sitting in a way that allows you to breathe fully.

And so what we'll do,

I'll explain it first and then I'll demonstrate.

So on your inhale,

For a few breaths in and out.

On your inhale,

You'll take three short sips of breath through your nose if possible.

While you lift your arms out to the side,

Higher and higher each time until they reach overhead.

And then on exhale,

You'll exhale through the mouth one long big sigh,

Letting the arms cascade down to back down to your side.

So it'll look like,

It'll sound like this.

Let's try this together.

One more time.

Take a moment and notice the aliveness,

The energy in you.

Now,

Pause with your hands back on your heart,

On your heart space and receive these words.

As I read them from my book,

Your Light is Rising.

This poem is called The Invitation.

There is a sacred moment right now when you awaken.

You open your eyes and you can answer yes to the invitation of your soul to be freely who you are,

As you are,

Standing or dancing in your power.

Because today,

Today you are honoring your truest self.

You are answering the call to live and speak and love as your soul speaks to you.

And this is freedom.

So beautiful one.

What joy does your heart,

Your soul want you to say yes to today?

What joy does your heart,

Your soul invite you into and wants you to say yes to today?

Once you know that,

Whisper to yourself,

Today I choose,

And then fill in the rest of the sentence.

Today I choose.

Today I choose this joy,

This inspiration that comes from your heart and your soul.

And then bring the palms of your hands together and rest them at the heart space.

Seal this in as your intention by bowing to yourself first.

And then as you rise and you open your eyes,

Let this guide your next action,

And then the next,

And the next.

Thank you for practicing with me today.
