Maybe your eyes are still fluttering open as you lay here,

As you've just woken up.

There's this beautiful phrase in Spanish of greeting someone and asking them about how they've started their day.

It's como amaneciste,

Como amaneciste.

How did you greet the dawn?

So as your eyes flutter open for the first few moments as you awake,

How are you greeting the dawn?

Let it be with noticing your body lying here,

Feeling the support of whatever you're lying on,

Feeling the shape of your body,

And feeling a few waves of the breath,

However the breath is in this moment today,

In this morning.

How are you greeting the dawn?

Maybe it's with a body that aches,

Maybe with a body that feels great,

However the body is.

Greet the dawn and your body by saying hello to your body.

I see you,

I hear you,

I feel you.

Acknowledging the body however it is today and then bless your body with both hands.

Take your hands and run them over parts of the body that you can touch here.

Your face,

Your forehead and cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your head,

Throat,

Chest,

Arms and belly.

Sweeping then just down toward the legs so you can still lie here and then send a blessing for your body as you start the day.

May you be healthy,

Vibrant and strong.

May you be healthy,

Vibrant and strong.

And now your mind,

How are you greeting the dawn today with your mind?

Maybe it's with a mind that's racing with thoughts or worries,

Maybe it's a calm mind.

However your mind is this morning,

Say hello to your mind.

I see you,

I hear you and then bless your mind by placing your hands on the sides of your head,

Eyes softened or closed and sending the blessing to your mind of may you be a place of calm and focus today.

May you be a place of calm and focus today.

And now your heart,

How are you greeting the dawn today with your heart?

Maybe it's with a heavy heart,

Maybe it's with a hopeful heart and maybe it's with a loving and full heart.

However your heart is today and this morning,

Acknowledge it again with I see you,

I hear you and then bless your heart by placing your hands over your heart,

The right hand,

The left hand.

Feel the vibrant beating of your heart,

The steadfast vibrant beating of your heart.

You are here and there is so much light within you,

So much beauty.

Send a blessing for your heart as you start the day.

May you be vibrant and may I be true to you.

May you be vibrant and may I be true to you.

What a beautiful way to greet the dawn and to greet yourself by allowing whatever is here,

Acknowledging it and then blessing it.

Blessing your body and your mind and your heart.

May you go into your day remembering that you belong,

You matter and you are loved.
