Hello,
Today I'd like to share with you a guided meditation that I learned many years ago from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
To begin,
Let yourself settle into a comfortable upright seated position.
Feel your feet on the floor,
Your seat on your seat,
And lift up gently through the crown of your head.
Soften your face,
Your jaw muscles,
Shoulders,
Chest,
Tummy.
Letting yourself settle in.
And then we'll begin by bringing our awareness to the in and out breath.
So breathing in,
Feel the sensations of the in breath.
Breathing out,
Feel how the out breath feels.
So breathe in and out for a few rounds.
The next breath is deep,
Slow.
So breathing in,
I breathe deeply.
Breathing out,
I breathe out slowly.
Deep,
Slow.
Do that for a few rounds.
Next comes calm,
Ease.
Breathing in,
I feel calm.
Breathing out,
I feel at ease.
Calm,
Ease.
Calm,
Ease.
And then smile,
Release.
Breathing in,
Smile.
Really do smile.
It softens you and releases endorphins.
Release,
Release anything that you would like to let go of.
Smile,
Release.
Letting go into the present moment.
Present moment,
Wonderful moment.
Present moment,
Wonderful moment.
Aware of your body and your breath in this,
The present moment.
Opening your eyes with a gentle focus.
May you be happy,
Healthy and at peace.
