Feeling the weight of the body resting on the earth.

Noticing those points of connection where the body touches the earth.

Perhaps noticing the breath if that feels available to you.

Those gentle movements,

Those waves of movement through the body.

Not needing to change the breath.

Simply noticing.

We're going to move into a short,

Simple compassion practice now.

You may like to leave the hands where they are.

You may like to rest them on the body for this,

Maybe on the abdomen,

Maybe on the heart.

And starting to bring to mind now,

Compassionate colour.

What colour would compassion be for you today?

Perhaps you see this in the mind's eye,

Or maybe it's more of a sense in the body,

An idea,

You could repeat the name of the colour to yourself.

Seeing if it's possible to not search for what the colour is,

But to see what emerges.

Offer a question to yourself,

What's my compassionate colour?

Seeing what comes to you.

Now perhaps imagining that this colour,

A light of this colour is shining down on you.

Radiating over the whole of your body,

Bathing you in this compassionate colour.

Perhaps connecting with how this compassionate colour would feel.

You may even like to imagine that you're breathing it in.

This colour which feels compassion for you.

A colour that's happy to be here.

That's grateful to connect with you.

How does it feel in the body to think of this colour,

To imagine this colour?

Perhaps there's a tingling,

A warmth,

Maybe there's a numbness.

There's no right way to feel,

Noticing whatever's present.

And spending a little time now,

Whatever you'd like,

With this colour.

This colour of warmth.

A colour that wishes you well.

Perhaps a phrase is coming to mind,

What this colour would say to you.

This colour of safety.

This colour of compassion that's here for you.

As we begin to start to come towards the end of this practice,

Knowing that this colour is always here for you to return to,

Whenever you want.

Just remembering what the colour said to you,

If it said anything.

Beginning to let go now of this colour.

Releasing awareness.

Now you can come back whenever you want.

And noticing once more the body on the earth.

Those points where the body makes connection with the earth.

Sensing once more your place on the earth.

If you hadn't done so before,

You may like to place your hands on the body now,

On the abdomen or the heart.

And thanking yourself for being here.

Thanking yourself for carving out this time in your day to do something in your own deepest well-being.

May you be well.

Perhaps bringing some movement to the fingers,

The toes.

Taking a deep breath in,

Stretching,

Moving,

Whatever the body needs.

May you all be well.

May you go well into your days.

Thank you.
