Inner Coach concept is to develop self-compassion practice that can help us to become our own best friend, to also encourage and inspire us to get through tough times. We are all very familiar with our self-critic voice that we listen to mostly, but I'd like to introduce you to Inner Coach idea to give you a choice and see how you feel.

Namaste,

Wonderful people.

I'm recording this in the woods and you will hear some noises of birds nature.

Please try not to resist it,

Try to accept it as all part of the process.

Invite it in and welcome.

Today I wanted to talk about the concept of inner coach versus inner critic.

A lot of the time we beat ourselves up with self-attacking thoughts.

We become our harshest critic,

Scolding ourselves and as part of the healing process and showing some self-compassion,

The idea of inner coach could serve great purpose of healing.

Let's start with breath.

Let's take a few deep breaths in with me for four and breathe out for six.

Take a breath in one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Exhale for six,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Let's do that again.

Breathe in for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Exhale for six,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Let's do it one more time.

Breathing in for four,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Exhale for six,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Allow the breath to return back to normal.

I'd like you to imagine the idea of inner coach.

You can totally use your imagination and make up a person or thing or a voice who would talk to you on a daily basis in the kind compassionate encouraging ways.

What would inner coach look like?

It could become your best friend,

Could be an idea of someone you look up to would have the same qualities of that person from the past or present.

What would inner coach say to you that would make you feel warm,

Understood,

Helped,

Less lonely,

Loved?

For example your inner coach could say to you,

You got this,

I got your back,

You're capable,

You're gonna make it.

Times are hard but you're strong.

You can get through this.

I'll help you,

I'll guide you through,

I'll support you,

I'm here for you.

I have given few examples of statements that you could choose for your inner coach and any time that you become aware of the self-critic voice return you remember that there's also inner coach inside you that you can choose to listen to.

I'm gonna give you a few moments to connect to that encouragement statement that you choose to use for your inner coach's voice.

I'd like you to sit with it and listen to the inner coach's voice just for a few moments and just notice how you feel.

You let's come back to the breath now let's take a deep breath in for four breathing in one two three four pause exhale four six one two three four five six let's do it one more time breathing for four one two three four pause exhale four six one two three four five six if your eyes were closed you can open them and just know that you got this namaste
