Welcome to the fifth session of the Smart Body Green Mindfulness program.
This session is all about learning how to tune into your body and getting into the habit of asking your body what it needs from you.
One of the most important things about the Smart Body is learning to communicate with it.
It's about tuning into the body and what it needs.
It's about honoring the body for all it does for you.
Learning these tools is like peeling an onion.
There are layers upon layers to reveal.
Each exercise builds upon the last,
Helping you understand the Smart Body a little more.
The basic premise behind all of this is learning how to simply ask the body what it needs from you.
You may even get to the point where you get an intuitive nudge when you ask the body questions.
This is helpful in every area of life,
From the foods and medications you ingest to the products you use on your body every day.
Your body is an intuitive organism.
It can communicate with you.
You simply have to learn the body's language.
You also have to be patient throughout this learning process.
It's a journey rather than a quick fix.
Let's take a moment now to ask the body what it needs today.
Take a deep breath in and allow the breath to relax you.
Feel the sense of relaxation moving through you.
Relax the mind and body.
Let yourself be quiet.
Close your eyes and take a moment to shut down.
There's no need to force anything.
This is your time.
If your attention starts to wander,
Just pull yourself back to the present moment.
Take another deep and cleansing breath.
Take a moment to express some gratitude for this moment in time.
Mindfulness is not about perfection.
It is about patience.
It's about stepping back and taking a break and enjoying the moment.
Now take a moment to ask the body what it needs from you and see if you get any kind of intuitive answer.
Ask yourself how you can be a little bit kinder to yourself today.
Ask yourself what aspect of your life could use a little bit more patience or a little bit more love.
Patience is all about strength,
Compassion,
And growth.
It helps us make better decisions.
It can also help us to become happier and healthier.
Learning to work with your smart body takes patience and understanding.
Just like the tortoise and the hare,
There is a lesson to be learned by going slow.
Slow and steady always come out ahead.
What is the lesson you can take from this time of growth and expansion?
How can you learn to appreciate the process?
Just like a steamship cannot turn around on a dime,
You cannot redirect the entire course of your life in a single moment.
However,
You can take one step towards your goal and learn to smell the roses along the way.
Today is a gift.
Your life is a gift.
You can embrace imperfection and embrace living.
Take one more moment to reflect on your life and on those things that could benefit from having a little bit more patience and understanding.
And with one more deep breath,
Open your eyes and come back into the present time and space.
