Hi and welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is Leslie and I will guide you through these minutes of reflection.
To start the meditation,
Move into a comfortable position.
This can be either sitting or sleeping.
If sitting on the floor,
You can sit crossed leg.
If using a chair,
Sit with your feet flat on the ground.
Keep your back upright,
Hands on your knees facing outward and held head-to-head slightly tilted upward.
If sleeping,
Sleep flat on your back without a pillow,
Your arms to the sides and your head facing upwards.
Keep your eyes closed with a gentle focus between your eyebrows.
Let's focus on our breathing and start taking deep breaths.
Breathe in through your nose and let the air fill your lungs and then breathe out through your nose.
As we go through this meditation,
We will keep taking these deep relaxing breaths.
And if you find yourself lost,
Then bring back your focus to my voice and keep taking deep relaxing breaths.
This is a short reflective meditation that can be done at night.
It is a meditation to recap our behavior during the day and increase our self-awareness.
The meditation is based on 10 questions where we reflect on our daily behavior.
The first question,
Did I hold others' sentiment today?
The next question,
Did I behave dishonestly during the day?
The next question,
Did I let anger get the better of me?
The fourth question,
Did I owe anyone an apology today that I avoided giving?
The fifth question,
Did fear cause me to do or say something I would have normally not done or said?
The next question,
Did I think about others today or was I selfish?
The next question,
If I was wrong in any way,
Did I admit it?
The eighth question,
Was my behavior towards the people I interacted with today kind or was I rude?
The ninth question,
Was I helpful to anyone who reached out to me or did I purposefully ignore them?
And the final question,
Was I kind to myself today?
We can only change what we are aware of.
And in constant practice of being aware of our behavior,
We will find that in time our behaviors start to change.
Be at peace to know that we are all capable of change.
