The Inner Ledger.
This meditation is an invitation to return to your own sense of worth.
So often,
When we think about money,
Work,
Compensation or uncertainty,
We can begin to measure ourselves by outer circumstances.
We may measure ourselves by what we earn,
What we have,
What we owe,
What we have achieved or what still feels unresolvable.
But beneath all of that,
There is a deeper value that has not been lost.
In this practice,
You will be invited to gently look at the balance between what you give.
And what you receive.
You will be guided to notice where your time,
Energy,
Care and skill may need to be honoured more clearly.
You will also be invited to meet financial uncertainty without shame and to listen inwardly for one honest practical next step.
You do not need to solve everything right now.
Simply allow yourself to become still.
To see more clearly.
And to remember that your worth is not defined by your present circumstances.
So allow your eyes to close.
Take a slope that in.
And release it gently.
Once again,
Breathe again.
And breathing out.
Feel the support beneath you.
Let the surface that you are resting on hold your weight.
You do not need to hold yourself up alone.
And imagine you are sitting at a simple wooden table.
The room is quiet.
Warm light falls across the surface.
And in front of you is a large open book.
An accounting book.
A ledger.
But this is not only a ledger of money,
It is a ledger of your life.
On the left hand page are the things you give.
Your time,
Energy,
Skill,
Care,
Attention,
Knowledge,
Labour,
Presence,
Patience,
Responsibility See these words appearing on the page.
Do not minimize them.
Do not say,
It was nothing.
Let yourself recognize what you contribute.
Notice how much has moved through you.
How much you have gathered.
How much you have created.
How much you have offered.
Take up that.
And silently say,
I awno.
What I give.
I honor.
What I give.
Now turn to the right hand page.
This page holds what you see.
Money,
Support.
Rest Appreciation Opportunity Hell.
Respect.
Care.
Encouragement.
Time.
Protection.
Notice what is present.
Notice what may be missing.
There is no judgment.
Only Honesty.
Perhaps the two pages feel balanced.
Perhaps one side is much fuller.
Simply see.
Now ask.
Where is the exchange asking to be corrected?
Where is the exchange asking to be connected?
Perhaps an image arises.
A job,
A client,
A relationship,
A responsibility,
A conversation.
Let it come.
Now imagine writing one sentence across the bottom of the page.
I am willing.
To treat myself fairly.
I am willing to treat myself fairly.
See the words.
Feel them.
Now another sentence.
I am willing to ask for what I need.
I am willing to ask for what I need.
Take up the that.
Notice any fear.
Let the fear be present without allowing it to leave.
Now imagine a doorway opening in the room.
Beyond it is a path.
You do not know exactly where it leads,
But you sense that the path represents support.
Opportunity.
Guidance,
Possibility.
You rise from the table and stand at the doorway.
In your hand is one small piece of paper.
On it is written your next action.
Perhaps,
Ask,
Call,
Apply,
Count.
Renegotiate.
Receive.
Speak.
Begin.
See the word clearly.
You do not need the whole plan,
Only the next honest step.
Now imagine taking one step through the doorway.
And as you do.
Silently Say.
My current circumstances do not define my worth.
Take another step.
I can face reality.
Without shame.
Another Step.
I can ask without losing dignity.
Another step.
I can receive.
Without becoming lesser.
Another Step.
I can take practical action.
With cottage.
Pause on the path.
Now bring to mind anyone who has ever helped you.
A teacher.
A friend.
A family member,
A colleague.
A stranger.
Someone who offered encouragement,
Money,
Shelter,
Advice,
Work or belief.
See them standing behind you.
Not pushing.
Supporting.
And perhaps behind them are others.
People whose help you did not fully recognise at the time.
Let yourself feel that you have not come this far entirely alone.
Silently Say.
I allow support to reach me.
I allow support.
To teach me.
Now imagine a gentle light around your heart.
This light represents worth.
Not salary,
Not status.
Not job title,
Word.
It does not increase when you earn more.
It does not disappear when work is scarce.
It remains steady.
Quiet.
Untouched.
Rest with this light.
And repeat inwardly.
My word?
Is constant.
My circumstances can change.
I can speak clearly.
I ask for help.
I can take the next step.
I am willing.
To prosper.
True Honesty.
Now imagine returning to the table.
The ledger remains open,
But it no longer feels frightening.
It is simply information.
A tool.
A way of seeing.
You gently close the book.
Not to avoid it.
But because for now.
You know the next step.
Place one hand over the heart.
And ask.
What is the One Action?
I am ready to take.
What is the one action I am ready to take?
Let the answer come.
Trust the first.
Clear the spots.
Take a slope that end.
And breathe out.
Allow the Doom.
The table.
The ledger and the path to gently fade.
Return to your body.
To the support beneath you.
To the doom around you.
To the space around you.
Bring movement into the hand.
The Feet.
The shoulders.
And when you are ready.
Softly open your eyes.
As we close,
Remember that your worth is not defined by your current financial circumstances,
Your income,
Or the approval of others.
Your time has value.
Your energy has value.
Your work has value.
And your needs are worthy of honest expression.
May you have the courage to see clearly.
The steadiness to ask for what you need.
And the humility to receive support where support is offered.
Today or this week.
May you take one practical step toward treating yourself,
Your world.
And your life with greater respect.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for listening and may you move forward with dignity.
Gladly.
And trust.
