Before we begin,
I invite you to find a quiet,
Comfortable spot where you can set aside distractions and connect deeply with this practice.
As you're ready,
Settle into a comfortable position.
Sit tall,
Feeling your spine lengthen and your chest gently expand.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely,
And then exhale slowly,
Letting your shoulders soften.
Take another deep breath,
Inhaling calm and clarity.
Exhale fully,
Releasing any tension or worry.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Allowing your awareness to shift inward.
Place one hand on your chest,
Feeling the steady rhythm of your heartbeat.
This is your quiet companion,
Always with you.
Take a moment to notice the sensation of your breath moving in and out.
Is it cool as you inhale,
Warm as you exhale?
Simply observe.
Now gently roll your neck from side to side,
Easing any stiffness.
Feel the gentle stretch and release.
Bring your awareness to the harmony of your body working together,
Your breath,
Your heartbeat,
Your senses,
All supporting you in this moment.
Silently repeat,
I am capable and filled with life.
Let these words sink in as you breathe naturally,
Savoring the vitality within you.
Now shift your focus to the texture of the seat beneath you or the feeling of your clothing against your skin.
Notice these sensations without judgment.
Simply observe.
Bring your attention to a sound in your environment.
It might be distant or close,
Steady or fleeting.
Allow yourself to fully listen,
Noticing the tone,
Rhythm,
And subtle variations of the sound.
If your mind starts to wander,
Gently guide it back to this sound,
Using it as an anchor to the present moment.
As you stay here,
Whisper to yourself or silently affirm,
This moment holds beauty and I am here to witness it.
Now bring to mind a moment in your day that you're looking forward to.
It doesn't have to be grand.
It could be a warm cup of tea,
A moment of laughter,
Or the feel of fresh air on your face.
Picture yourself in this moment,
Fully present.
What does it feel like?
What emotions arise?
Allow yourself to savor this experience as if it's happening right now.
Silently repeat,
This day is a gift and I will embrace it.
Feel a sense of gratitude for the possibilities ahead.
Now take in a deep breath,
The deepest breath you've taken all day.
Hold it for a moment,
Then sigh it out through your mouth.
Feel yourself grounding into this present moment,
Anchored and calm.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and allow your gaze to refocus.
Take in the space around you with fresh awareness.
Thank yourself for taking time to embrace a mindful practice.
