It’s exhausting trying to be everything for everyone at every moment of the day. You are so much more than you realize! My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,

Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.

Let's get in the flow.

What is exhausting trying to be everything for everyone at every moment of every day?

Don't you guys think?

You know,

It's like,

Do you ever feel like that sometimes you need permission to be yourself?

It's like,

Sometimes you just need like,

Sometimes you need for somebody to say,

You know what,

Just go off and be yourself.

And you know,

Like,

Why is that?

You know,

We give ourselves all these titles,

You know,

Like wife and mother,

Daughter,

Friend,

Father,

PTA mom,

Soccer dad,

CEO,

Lover.

The list just goes on,

Obviously.

Like,

We have all these titles in our lives.

But sometimes I feel like that these titles define us,

But they aren't really who we are.

You know,

We are spiritual beings.

We are love.

Why is that never in the title?

Do you know what I'm saying?

Like why is that never in the title?

Laurie Albert,

Happiness seeker,

Spreader of joy,

Empath.

Wouldn't that be great if like when you gave somebody your business card or their business card or whatever,

That it was like,

It just said,

Lover.

Oh my God.

I love that.

We're happiness seeker.

I actually did put that on business card for a while.

You know,

I put that on my business card for a while.

Exactly.

Who am I?

I love that,

Right?

I feel like that when we discover that we are so much more than wife,

Husband,

Snake charmer,

Gardener,

You know,

Whatever,

Right,

We start to really understand that we actually are beautiful.

We are joy.

We are grace and peace and compassion and laughter and tears and empaths.

So here's the question.

What is your title?

Right?

What is your title?

What would you really truly want on your life's business card?

You know,

And that's the thing.

It's so,

And what I love about,

You know,

Spirituality and just like exploring all of the ancient teachings and all of this stuff is that it's highly,

Highly personal.

And I know I've been saying that a lot lately,

But I'm just really realizing,

You know,

When you read whatever it is,

You read the Bhagavad Gita,

You're going to get something out of it that's something different than the other person.

That's something different than a third person and a fourth person and a fifth person.

Right?

You know,

So because we are all different people,

We all bring different things to the table of life,

So to speak.

So who are you?

I am Lori Albert,

Yeah,

Spiritual medium and all that stuff.

But I am happiness seeker for all.

Ooh,

Ooh,

Ooh,

I just added that.

I love that.

Lori Albert,

Happiness seeker for all.

I just,

I just think that that's so,

That's so awesome.

Right?

So as we meditate today,

That's what we're going to focus on,

Who we are.

Yay.

I love it.

I love it.

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable and we're going to meditate.

We are.

Are you surprised?

Okay.

So let's close our eyes,

Get comfortable,

Allow it all to just be as it's going to be for you.

Awesome.

Perfect.

Let's take a nice deep breath in as we contemplate who we are.

So take a deep breath in and release.

Love filling up my lungs like that with beautiful oxygen.

Perfect.

So today's mantra is going to be Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum means I am bliss.

Happiness is my true nature.

But before we begin,

Let's think for just a few moments.

Who are we?

Who am I?

Of course,

I should say it that way.

Who am I?

Start to consider that for yourself.

And if you can't figure out who you are,

Just start out with the age old way that I love to start it all out.

What am I grateful for?

What are you absolutely grateful for in your life?

That's kind of a stepping stone to try to figure out who we are in our lives.

Again,

I love that it's all so personalized.

One person may gravitate to happy,

But that doesn't cut it for another person.

That person gravitates to peace or compassion.

So going to chant today and you can chant along with,

You can just listen,

Whatever feels comfortable.

Ananda Hum.

I am bliss.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Ananda Hum.

Let's start to bring our awareness back to our bodies.

Back to the room where we're sitting.

When you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

That's awesome.

So we chanted,

I am bliss.

This is my true nature in the chord of D,

Which is the root chakra.

I was so deep in that meditation.

I'm so sorry.

In the throat chakra.

So the throat chakra allows us to live our best lives,

Be who we're supposed to be in the world.

Right?

So as we were meditating and contemplating who we are with the throat chakra,

We're allowing ourselves to really come into the knowledge of who we are,

Who is our true nature.

So beautiful.

So I appreciate each and every one of you being here today.

You all are so amazing to me and I just,

I do appreciate each and every one of you from my heart to yours.

Namaste.
