Welcome to this gentle reminder where we connect as humans living under this blue sky and walking on this sacred earth.
As I share this reminder.
Start by connecting with your breath.
And notice how your body-mind feel in this moment.
There is no need to change or correct anything.
Just become aware and stay with this open awareness.
Feeling into your body as you listen to the rest of this audio.
Today I want to speak of intuition,
Because when the openness comes or the information comes,
I often find myself second-guessing this information,
Doubting and wondering,
Is this real or am I making it up?
Today I want to talk about this from my perspective,
Which is highly influenced by the Shaiva Tantra tradition,
And I will speak about it with a story.
My dog passed away not that long ago.
When I went to pick up his ashes,
Feeling heavily the weight of his loss,
As soon as I parked the car,
It started to pour down rain.
To give you some context,
In Central America,
When it rains,
It rains.
I mean a proper storm,
With thick raindrops you can barely see through.
We were still in dry season,
So these rains come very unexpectedly.
Rain that I started to feel my pain become less heavy and I started to feel this connection with him again.
The next day another incredible rainstorm.
Thunder,
Thick drops,
The rain gutters overflowing.
And when I went outside,
I felt him there.
In every drop of rain.
I felt his loving presence embracing me.
And then the mind kicked in.
Am I making this up?
Am I making these feelings up because I need reassurance,
Hope,
Or just something that makes me feel better?
And this is where the teaching comes.
It doesn't matter.
I had a real felt experience.
My body,
My mind,
My heart were feeling.
And that is all that matters.
What came after,
The thoughts,
The judgment,
That self-doubt,
When seen and not believed,
Are also great tools to show me patterns running through my head.
We can't squeeze meaning out of life.
It doesn't have to make sense.
We are living an experience,
A mystical one.
And no matter how much we try,
We can't actually fully understand it.
In Tantra this is called 1st,
2nd and 3rd order reality.
First order reality is the experience in itself.
With no words,
Like plunging into a cold pool in the middle of a dry summer day.
You can poke your head out and say,
Wow.
That was amazing!
But you can't actually explain the sensation in a way that someone else can feel it without jumping in.
The proof is in the pudding.
Everything after that is trying to make sense or explain their experience.
This would be second or third order reality.
Lived experience is intuition.
Because it feels us without the mind chatter.
So today I invite you to trust into your lived experience.
Trust the felt sense that are coming into your body before you have a thought about it.
So today I invite you to trust your lived experience and to tap into that experience before you have a thought about it.
